The reason why I ask is, is there any mathematical formula for calculating ML (and run lines for that matter) when it comes to baseball? Example:

PIT +140.

CHC -160.

That's only a 20 cent difference. But, if you look at the run line it might look something like this:

PIT +1. 5 (-180).

CHC -1. 5 (+150).

I'm sure there's a way to calculate the TRUE odds when figuring out the run line. By all means, enlighten me. IMHO, I wouldn't take that bet period. I would say that the difference here would be Washington's offense is way more explosive, so the RL on Wash would be more of a "sure thing". But if you want value, go wit Laa rl. BOL bruddah.
