I don't think it's dramatizing to call this a real safety issue (and I mean life or death safety). Last week a response was posted by an established member in the news and media forums re the recent shooting of SW's on AA acknowledging the presence of crackpots in the client population.

I realize I'm being nit-picky here and don't want to detract from the original topic, but I just wanted to mention that the comments by those two members, one of whom was me, were strictly conjecture. In the past when there was violence of that magnitude on the street it was usually a pimp, some sort of gang-related incident or some other inside job on the hooker side. The fact that all three women abandoned the car right there on the street and brought themselves down to Harboview without calling police sort of indicates that to me. That doesn't mean I know that for sure, just going on past incidents.

So, I know I'm going to catch flack for this, especially as my first post, but this is my city, and I do think this is some stupid shit in Seattle.

My personal opinion is that this issue is worthy of a good discussion.

My dude, I get it but you have to consider the source. Sex work is not a "respectable" profession in the US (or most places as we all know) so the people that go into it are rarely well adjusted individuals with multiple career options.
