Yeah, that's the risk. I only use deposits with providers who have a ton of solid, verified reviews.

In my case, I paid using an amazon gift card. Which left no trail but more risk of being scammed. There was no way I could ask for the money back.

I've had a bad experience with it before.

My one experience was with a Private Delights provider. After working out that we would meet the next day. And I sent her a deposit. She then had "an emergency" and could not meet the next day. Now that she had my deposit, it was like she had a guaranteed client. I am sure she agreed to the next-day timing just to get the deposit, then she could force a reschedule to a different day. If she had said she could not meet the next day I would have reached out to someone else.

Snuggles4 soul: Platonic only. I doubt any extras are available ever, she is very strict. Nice girl otherwise. If you just want to cuddle and talk to a nice, sweet girl, go for it. Avoid if you want extras.

She can be flaky so I recommend proceed with caution. The first time I tried to see her she canceled on me last minute and it took a while to reschedule. This was before she was asking for deposits so I didn't lose anything but I'd be careful since that seems to be her norm these days.
