If the monger complies with the demand, the scammer gets the dollar value of the gift card and the monger only gets scammed because the girl is not at that address.

You got lucky. Use that experience as a lesson. Just by reading the ad body, it almost sounds as if a dindu or foreigner is the one who wrote it.
