There is plenty to do in St Maarten for a week, besides the "clubs" or brothels. Those are on the Dutch side, near Philipsburg. I stayed on the Dutch side (Simpson Bay). Taxis and water taxis ar good for getting over to the French side for really good dining. Beaches are all over the island. Also consider renting a car for a few days for your trips to Carolina, El Capitan, etc.

I was going to say that the probability is that these dancers are using the language barrier to their advantage. It's not say that they are fluent in English, but you can be sure that they know the English words for their VIP activities.
