The usual rate is $200 for 45 minutes. If you gave her a $40 tip on top of the $200, especially if she didn't ask for one, it's not really on them if YOU overpaid. Just slow it down, take control and make sure to get your money's worth. And again, no need to tip over and above the $200 entry fee. And even though I think $200 IS a bit steep for any spa (guess I've been doing it so long I'm caught in a time warp from the good ole days), we actually have it pretty good. Try going to NYC, LA, or Vegas and see what those dudes are paying! Ouch.

Correct. You're basically trying to figure out when every other potential customer is going to go. And many of those people are also trying to pick a "less busy" time.

One day a certain time will be completely dead and the next they won't even have room to put you into a waiting room.

Parking lot isn't the best indication either. I've gone in to these places when the parking lot looked empty only to realize that it was slammed inside (people park further away and walk, uber, etc).

I went out for my birthday and started by wanting to try NDS for the first time but the lot seemed full. Just spent a week in your city and went to a few spas. I had a good time at BO, then I went to king spa, sat around for 20 minutes watching a revolving door with no mama son. The other day I went to New Day Spa in search of something new. What I found was good but nothing extraordinary. My luck of the draw was with Emily, quite the looker. I'm going against the grain to say this place wasn't what I was looking for.
