Co-signed! I lived like that for years for the exact same reasons, but am now out of the wash cycle. One point to add, there is a huge difference between an SO and SB / escort (latter two being prostitutes by definition). A true 50:50 split in everything including responsibilities and expenses. A really true 50:50 would also mean she gets to play on the side, keep a few young 20 something hunky FWBs, get on SA and get a rotation of hunks in her stable. If one cannot see the difference between an SO and a SB / escort (prostitute) because one pays for everything, rent / mortgage, transportation, food, dinners out, clothing, childcare etc., then I would have to agree, you have a latter. Man, you nailed it. Most of us monger for those very reasons. I think we'd all agree it'd be nice to have a regular friend with benefits, but the "quest" and someone different wouldn't be satisfied.
