It was really a paper tiger, all threat no follow through. I've had the same thing happen a couple other times (which I think I posted on). I was dead scared the first time, thought I really F'd up, but I got advice on here just to ignore it, which I did. When it happened again, I literally started laughing at the guy in the hallway, called him my old friend. Soooo. Good to see you again. How's it been? Said, let's take a selfie. It confused him.

I've also received a couple of harassing / threatening texts and one phone call. I did the whole laughing thing again through emoji and just laughed on the call.

It is VERY disorienting and scary at first, but in the end it was nothing.

If I remember correctly, the phone calls / texts BEFORE the encounter were several adamant questions about if I was LEO (which is not uncommon), but they asked a couple of times (like: are you SURE you're not a cop. You SURE you're no LEO). I remember thinking that asking that more than once was strange. I don't think I can call that a red flag, but take it for what it's worth.

I get flack on this forum for paying more for the providers I see, but experiences like that made me willing to pay more for quality and peace of mind.

P.S. Out of three times this has happened to me, twice was at the Music City Sheridan by the airport, so I'm always a little gun shy to go there, although I have seen several good providers there. Take that for what it's worth. My thought was that they needed a big enough hotel to be able to follow you around the halls without alerting the front desk.
