Just got a text message from a random number asking to meet up. I'm not posting anything too specific, but here we go:

- The sender kept copy-pasting my phone number into each text they sent.

- The sender's phone number doesn't show in my text or call history.

- The sender asked off the bat what "services" I'd be interested in, and then sent a link to an ad for a girl I've never seen before (TGTBT).

Spit-balling here, but I don't think it's so much trying to get me in a sting, but get me to post the ad so they associate my username with my phone number.

Dude, any time you get a call from some unrecognized number asking you to engage in some illegal activity you better bet your ass its either the pigs trying to hem you up somehow or someone trying to scam you in such a way that you have no recourse because you did something illegal.

If you don't know who it is or can't verify it or how they got your info to contact you then you absolutely must either ignore and delete or proceed with extreme caution. Mostly ignore and delete. Remember the cat and curiousity.

I agree with everything else you said though. By decriminalizing, it keeps it out of the streets and behind closed doors and that way victims can still be identified and nobody can be forced. It also keeps the government out of our business. In no way shape or form should doing what we want with our body be arrestable. Fine? Yeah. Kind of similar to a weed possession offense in Ohio, a non jailable misdemeanor punishable up to $150, doesnt go on our record. Cops and courts would make their revenue, victims can be rescued, everybody wins. That would be a perfect statute for prostitution.
