Yup, I understand. I haven't been robbed at gunpoint but I recognize that "advances" or "loans" are not going to be repaid, especially from anyone living day-to-day in a hotel and I know that up front and accept it. You should have made mention of the fact so it might not happen to someone else. In my opinion you were doing a disservice to your fellow mongers.

I give people a chance to make things right or evaluate the entire situation to see if I had any fault in it before I do so. "it might happen to someone else" is an accurate statement, but IMHO its a good practice to walk into every situation like it could be a life or death scenario.
