Not new to the hobby, but fairly new to TNA and even newer to this board. I have a little info from an encounter last week. There are a thousand reasons why it smells and not all of them are hygiene related. It is a little bit like breath. Having bad breath could be due to numerous reasons and not all are hygiene for example you could floss and brush and scrape your tongue twice a day everyday and still have a pungent odor because of digestion issues. Same with the puss. It is a damp area that is always warm and in clothing. It is a complex cocktail of microbes.
