COVID changed things in a big way. More girls living at home. Fewer girls in college and more of them working. The ones that aren't working getting a few thousand extra from unemployment and stimulus--and a few thousand extra was all most of them were getting from Seeking. The ones that are in college and not working much still are less likely to be going on spring break trips or traveling for concerts or wanting to buy fancy clothes, since there's fewer places to be.

Fewer people are moving to new cities for new jobs, so the recent college grad or 24 year old who's ready to transfer from Des Moines to the Chicago office isn't. She probably is still seeing her boyfriend in Des Moines. A little decrease in supply can really affect market. And sometimes it's in surprising ways. It's WAY easier to fuck strippers, it turns out, when the economy is good. I always assumed it was when the economy is bad, desperate girls get jobs in the clubs. It turns out that when the economy is booming, tons of guys are spending money and more girls can't resist the temptation to go grab some of that cash. Those sorts of counterintuitive dynamics are all over the sugar dating game. I try to be humble about what's going on. Craigslist back in the day was amazing. But it wasn't ever as good as Seeking was in its prime. This too shall pass?
