Friday Night.

Short story is that some clubs (LS being one, also FC) requires valet and your key fob regardless of whether you parked it yourself or not. Some will say, this is to keep the clubs leverage over you (keeping your keys while a payment dispute is settled, cops are called, etc.). Others will say this is simply a cash grab. Who knows, but there are plenty of other clubs NOT requiring valet, so the choice remains yours and ours whether to frequent those clubs with mandatory valet or not. Side note, I've been to some high end steak houses across the country that do the same thing, to prevent a dine and dash situation, so my personal opinion is that this is the case here as well.
