I'm a GenX-er in my early 50's, and I was a teenager in the 1980's. You were born when I was in high school (1982 - 1986), or thereabouts.

One thing about porn in the 1980's: It wasn't all that easy for a 15-year-old boy to acquire it, and it wasn't easy for him to watch it. You had to watch it on the VHS machine in the family room, and that could lead to some unpleasant moments if your parents came home earlier than expected. And that's assuming that you could get one of those VHS tapes to begin with.

My main form of visual stimulation as an adolescent / young adult male in the 1980's was Playboy, which I believe the Millennials more or less skipped. Playboy was sold at most convenience stores; and you could usually find a clerk who was willing to sell a copy to a 15-year-old boy who looked a few years older.

Playboy, of course, maintained very high standards. Not only were almost all of the women under 30, they had perfect bodies. They were also posed perfectly and airbrushed. They looked like goddesses.

I've been hobbying in Cincinnati since the late 1990's, and I've seen many ups and downs.

Basically, the market here has never been great.
