Ok I always carry a luggage, gym bag etc plus maybe some food or drinks to look like a guest. I avoid contact if they say hello I answer the same and move on. I usually do the same. Hold my phone to my ear pretending I am on a phone call. Sometimes I will carry an empty backpack to make it look like I am carrying a laptop or something. It's a little less obvious if you have some luggage or something.
