Not only the deposit scammer, they are all scammers who asks for a deposit, but also the ones who ask for a gift card, even if they said it is a payment when you meet them, however before you meet them, at some time, they will ask you for the number of the card or the front and back photos of the card. Once you send them the information they asked, the money in the card will be gone immediately. Of course since your money is gone, they will not meet you. Never pay up front in a deposit or a gift card. Period.
