I took the plunge and wish I would have saved my money. We agreed on HH and I scheduled 90 minutes in advance, and when I arrived no answer, just crickets. I wasn't comparing my professional career security with someone's life security. The whole point of my post is that while I guard my privacy, I also acknowledge the need for providers to feel some sense of safety. While I am willing to go through some verification, I am not going to hand over the keys to the city and open myself up to being blackmailed by a strung out addict whose boyfriend decided it would be easy money to hot me up for cash, "or else".

That's why I suggested that a middle ground that accomplishes both safety and verification is needed without putting either party at risk.
