This seems like it will have far reaching impacts including making us much less likely to see the variety of ads we've previously seen on sites like Mega Personals. It also seems like we are more likely as users of these sex sites to be prosecuted by law enforcement. How concerned should we be?

If you really got your IP address banned from that site, then the only way around it is to get another IP address (VPN, for example).

What new law are you talking about? And if the website is hosted outside of the US, then I don't believe they are subject to US law anyway.

Something to ad / correct for my last post that still awaiting moderation. MegaPersonals, the site that LC got all it's ads from, seems to have shut down their ads for people in the US. Thus is likely due to the new law being passed that requires all websites to give the US government direct access to any and all online content related to sex. Everything from porn to escorts will be subject to direct spying by the federal government.

Everyone needs to remember that LC is not the actual site where girls are posting ads. It's not possible to post ads via LC. Every single ad you see on LC is really being posted on MegaPersonals. The guy who runs LC just runs a script that copies all those ads as they are posted, relists them on his site and keeps a history of ads and pictures based on the phone numbers used to post the original ads. He then creates comment and review sections that he moderates with an iron fist. Say anything he doesn't like, positive or negative, and he bans your account. So when you get redirected to eros or adult friend finder, it's because he's banned your account. Trying to visit the site while logged on that account triggers the redirect.

Long story short, just use MegaPersonals and you can link to the ads on MP when posting reports here.
