I don't know. Are you using the same password for usasexguide as the one for your bank and credit card accounts? It's a hooker site. If you populate boxes here using the same cleartext as the one you use for your real life, no HTTPs in the world can save you. Technology cannot replace good ol' common sense.

Screenshots of PMs are constantly being shared and posted as well. So, I am not sure if it is someone snooping PMs or just the high level types who are "connected" and have this content sent to them or visible in a club you aren't a part of.

That being said, the site is also not very secure. Their HTTPS configuration is incorrect and that could lead to hacks or compromised credentials. For that matter this site doesn't appear to be properly configured with HTTPS either, so my recommendation is to not post or mention any personally identifiable information here, on hx or elsewhere.

Why would you ever post or mention personally identifiable information here? We don't ask for any, we don't log any info, we don't process credit cards, we have no need of HTTPS literally all of our information is forward facing.

If you think you have garnered enough attention from the NSA that they will hack your ISP AND our server in order to get the time stamps on the information request from your computer to our server to match that up with your ISP records for who had what IP addy on a specific date and time then you are committing crimes far worse than giving some chick 100 bucks for a blowjob and are fucked no matter what you do.

Otherwise this isn't Silk Road and you guys are not DPR, you're not that important.

Not using HTTPS is just lazy in my opinion. Letsencrypt makes this simple and zero cost.

When I mention PII, I am really talking about information sent via PM, or even publicly posted information that might indicate what area you live in or other information about you (your type of car, the kind of work you do, etc.). I am not so concerned with LE, but more concerned with my PII potentially being used for doxing purposes.

They worked around it by doing bitcoin, gift cards, and money orders. When money is involved, httpS is probably the secure way to go. If money is not changing hands, is HTTPs really that important?

The don't "snoop" PM's there are just too many. They use a tool to scan them based on various metrics. We scan for pedos, threats, jihadists, and some other specific phrases. We also monitor number of PM's sent over time to combat spammers. Then when somebody trips the filter they get reviewed. It's not snooping, I could give a fuck about 99.99999999% of the 30,000 PM's a week that go across our server, but in this day and age you got to scan them, you couldn't do business otherwise.

All the rest of that stuff though yeah, people are constantly building an online profile that is identifiable, it's always the content and usage that shows me the serial antagonists.

I ran into a guy that was working against human trafficking. I'm not exactly sure what his role is, but his van was full of stuff that looked more like he was a handyman. If you venture anywhere close to that stuff, then I'd be concerned.

It is a lot more technical and nefarious than just logging on IP addy. There are network investigative tools the Admins and Mods on Hx can use to pick out identifiable features when you log on. The size of your screen, the device I. D. Number, if JavaScript was enabled, HTTP headers, Navigation features, Plugins, and so on. And they also snoop into your Private Messages. The same person will say the same pattern of speech regardless of handle. They will look at the Notes you have saved on your subscriptions. What kind of avatars and pictures you uploaded to your albums. What kind of canned responses you saved. What phone numbers have you typed in your messages. All these can be searched. And other top secret stuff that they can all do on the backend of the site.
