If you're getting a lot of ghosts and blocks, it's because the girls have figured out you're a VET. I've had 12 girls this week ask me if I'm a vet in the first few sentences of messaging. They keep track of us through a list of some kind. They read this usasex forum daily and update each other on their list. They notify each other when we change our profiles. Sometimes they pretend that they don't know we're vets just to compile information on us. Most of the girls on SA know who I am by now, so I don't even try to pretend I'm someone else. It's all the same girls over and over anyways.

That's possible, I suppose, although I am upfront about the fact that I am a vet. I tell them (truthfully) in my first or second message that I've had a number of long-term arrangements, lasting as long as two years. My rationale is that many of them are concerned that guys are just looking for "one and done" rather than the ongoing arrangements that many of them want (and that keep them from feeling like they are pros). If they were turned off by the fact that I had experience, I would have expected them to ghost me much earlier.

I communicated with someone a while back who claimed to be in a similar situation. After getting into some details about setting up a meeting, then started to claim that they needed money to get approval papers to leave base etc. Long story short, it was clearly a scam and I moved on. Just another reminder to never send anything ahead of time.

On the up side with military personnel is some are tired of being around high testosterone me all the time. The one SB I had that served on an aircraft carrier a few year back was all perfume and lace off base. I told her I was closer to the guy at Best Buy doing tech support than guys loading armament on planes. She said all wanted was a normal guy that opened doors for her and brought her flowers.

I had a military SB in Hampton Roads area last year. Similar restrictions but she was a ton of fun. She simply wanted something outside of what her direct choice of men got her, she wasn't in a tech unit though and I was sure to take an extra bit of precaution where necessary. I'd say have fun with her.

Being a "Vet" has never been a problem for me. I tell them upfront I'm experienced and have had several long term arrangements. Its puts them at ease that I know what I'm doing and that I'm genuine.

I think they are more concerned with what they call "pump and dampers" only trying to have sex once and move on.

In the last several weeks, I've had as many last-minute ghosts as I've had the prior five years I've been on SA. There's no particular pattern that I can see. One I had been talking to for a couple of weeks, and we were supposed to meet for lunch and then move to a hotel if we liked each other; my last text from her was the night before the proposed meeting, but the next morning, she didn't respond to texts, and I haven't heard from her since, although she's been on SA. One had given me the address of her apartment and told me to text her when I was there. I texted her from the parking lot, and she told me what apartment to ring. I rang a few times and got no response. I left, and about two hours later got a text asking me what had happened. The most recent was just an M&G at a restaurant. We had been trying to set something up for a couple of weeks, and we texted back and forth confirming the time and place the morning of; I went to the restaurant and waited for almost 30 minutes before ordering food for myself and having a solo lunch. Each of these incidents involved arranged times and places, and the latter two involved my actually going to the appointed place. I'm wondering whether I'm just having bad luck (fortunately, I've also had some good luck recently, too), or whether there's some kind of new sport where girls play games like this to feel like they have some power.

These events are more serious than the regular ghosting that occurs when someone you've been talking to stops responding to your messages. These cases involved my arranging time off of work and a fair amount of time driving around. Has anyone else noticed such a pattern?

At least two that I know of. One had just broken off an engagement when we started out. I saw her through the reconciliation, the marriage, the realization that being married is hard, and the divorce. I still see her once a month or so and only give her any allowance (100) about half the time. The second one used to have me text her asking to set up a time when she could come clean my house so she had cover for where she was at and where she got the money. That's the funny part to me.
