Doesn't surprise me. There was another homicide at 6 and brush a week or so ago. Some former pastor picked up a t-girl I guess and supposedly he took him out. I would suspect the presence will remain for a little bit.

They look for anything, both driving and vehicle related. Speeding, turning or changing lanes without a signal, lights out, including the license plate lights. Especially if you are in the side streets, more so if you are on the known drug streets. They look for any reason to pull you over and ask why you are there.

I cruised the are lastnight (Thursday) as well. From 6 mi to 8 mi. Just did a basic drive buy a little after 6 pm. I looked down some of the side streets. Dead. Didn't spot any LE but they hide pretty good.

Johnr is a hot area and if your not down there much and know the lay of the land be careful. Not much out on 8 mile these days. I don't know of much out that way but have been pulled over for just being in the area.
