I guess it really comes down to how desperate you are to land a certain girl. As you seem to be quickly learning, there are tons of fish to land, so just politely decline a crazy offer, and move on. Ill use a line like " I'm afraid that's way over my budget, sorry if I wasted your time. " That lets them politely know they are asking WAY too much.
