I share your worry about sharing pics, etc. I suggest finding a pic (google, etc) that's similar to yours and using that instead. That way you're preserving your privacy without catfishing someone. You can set it up on your profile as a private pic which you have to give someone permission to see. As far as contacts, If you're using a burner phone and a texting app, you're as safe as reasonably possible. It's hard enough getting someone to give you any way to contact them that you shouldn't make it too hard on them. Check out the Kik app as well.
