Just looking into some of the ads and responded to 3 of them. All 3 replied saying "here's my real email" and it was a really long numerical address and asked to register a bunch of personal info (including credit card LOL) to some site. To you guys who've had success with the Craigslist scene what percentage would you say are scams?

Any form of prepayment is a scam, period. Any lady that doesn't accept cash is a scam, period. The vast majority (but not QUITE all) of what you will find on Craigslist (at least where I have hobbied) is a scam, period.

Never prepay. Ever. If you want to call it a gift, birthday present, Christmas present, whatever with no strings attached, then call it that and be prepared for it to be just that.

Most likely, any money you prepaid was going to some dude looking to make a quick buck. And you will never, ever see the girl in the pics.

My 2 cents.

Oh and to state the obvious, no harm meant to the OP. I can not stand all the scams on CL these days.
