So does this smell like a LE scam and, if not, has anyone seen this lady recently?

Even if you are careful, someone else may not be. FB culls all of the info from your devices unless you go to a lot of trouble for it not to do so. It uses that info to look for connections, or connections to connections, between people and then suggests that they may know each other. People can be very sloppy about their FB habits and that will bite many people in the butt over time.

If you use FB it's hard to keep all of your online life compartmentalized with no spillover.

Worst of all for people who aren't on FB their numbers could be in the phones of people who are; and then FB has that number. I recently spoke to a friend who did not want their pic taken at a social event because they knew the pic would end up on FB and the person is not on it and did not want to be tagged. Innocent but intrusive since the person does not do a lot of stuff online.

If she has your phone number stored in her contacts, Facebook can pull up your profile based off of that number. You can search for Facebook profile of your contacts.
