For me it's not about thinking that I am actually going to convince the cop that I'm NOT there hunting Pussy. I'm sure they've heard them all. For me it's all about having a plausible story all ready & waiting in my head so that I am able to deliver my excuse without stuttering & stammering all over the place. That would at least leave the cop with some doubt in his mind.

If I had to make up some lame excuse for cruising those streets in the heat of battle there's no telling what stupid stuff I might say & then LEO would know for certain that I was lying. Thankfully I have never been pulled over, but I don't go cruising that often. I do keep some low denomination casino chips in my car because I think that might lend a tiny bit of cred to my story. Having some sort of props with you to show the cop like casino chips or a Menards ad might just make the dreaded encounter go more smoothly.

If pulled over I think the probability is VERY high that the cop will ask where you are coming from & where you are going. At that point we have 3 choices as I see it:

1. I could admit that I am there hunting for pussy. Not advised.

2. I could tell LEO that he does not have the right to ask why I am cruising G Ave. Not a good idea either.

3. I could come up with some plausible reason for my presence there knowing full well that he will think I am BSing him.

I think #3 is the only logical choice. My far greater fear is actually getting caught in the act with a provider delivering service in the car. Try talking your way out of that one. At that point I think your best bet might be to "remain silent because anything you say, just ain't going to help". That's why most of my trips up and down those streets are for entertainment purposes only. Just window shopping. At my age I just don't think the risk vs reward is worth it any more. Problem is, with my meager hobby budget, all I can really afford is SW prices.

Absolute truth. But what they know and what they can prove are two different things. Hence my dead smart phone. "I can't find the club or text my friend because my battery is dead. " I'd pick somewhere more obscure than the casino though.

I used to teach and students would give me all kind of excuses for not turning in homework, mother died, computer messed up, got the claps, etc. I heard it all. So cops have been patrolling the streets for years. They have also heard it all too. In addition, they know the regular ho's. They probably banged a few of them like in Oakland. They know these ho's need to make money to stay alive. Busting johns is not essential to the broken window theory of policing cause solicitation does not lead to more serious crimes but they have to pop a few of you from time to time for deterrence to work. One of the best strategies to use is just be polite. They know you are hunting for pussy.

Took a run through the South Loop about 9. As mentioned by others Nuisance Van on 11th and G. 3 bicycle Officers rousting a SW on 13th. Squad just parked on 20th. Another cruising the area. Tried L, no LEO but not a single SW either. Called it a night.

It's what happens with auto correct when you try to abbreviate National. I tried putting the first letter in quotation marks to account for it but it still turned it into "and". I know others have been able to get it to work but I can't figure it out.

I always freak a little anyway because of the video bubbles on the sides. Is it unattended but recording? Recording turned on and off remotely. It wouldn't be real hard to have a program that identifies cars that appear on video "X" number of times in "X" number of hours. Paranoid? You bet. But I've got a lot to lose if I get busted so I'd rather be overly paranoid than sloppy and busted.

That makes sense and that's why I check this board before I hunt and post after I do.
