I don't know if any of you guys go to Venus, but I went up with my buddy for a couple of buckets and noticed they knocked out the VIP walls. Where its open to everyone to see. I don't know if they plan on fixing this, but just a heads up if you plan on going and having fun.

They probably will be closed in 3-6 months then. There hardly have any guys coming in now.

I was at penthouse this past Friday night. Around 7:30 they shook up.

The music and I knew the situation. Sure enough vice comes in hits everyone with the flashlights didn't arrest anyone except maybe one black chick I'm not sure on this tho and will explain. When I first got there at 7 after roll call I noticed a guy sitting across the stage from me who I've seen before but could not place. After some thinking I realized he was a detective of some sort but could not remember if he was a drug cop or what. He gets this black chick who is clearly taking him up.

For extras. Soon as he does moments later in comes vice. He comes down from upstairs unscathed but I didn't see her ever come out. I'm not sure if he was there checking out the scene for them or what but I know for a fact he was a cop of some sort I've seen the guy before. Long story short it appeared to be a waste of time to me because all I seen them with was a large amount of collected.

Dance cards. They checked all.

The girls purses for rubbers and probably drugs and made sure they all had on appropriate attire. I left about 20 minutes in because they still hadn't left the the atmosphere just died. Left there went to scores huge waste of time and space. For such a big club it's a real joke. Penthouse to there was like stepping out of a Cadillac and getting into and accord. They got it.

Hi! My boyfriend and I are interested in visiting some of the clubs in Detroit we've heard so much about this weekend. We are a super open-minded couple but I feel like whenever I go to a club the girls just ignore me. What's up with that? Not to sound conceited but I am a very attractive fit young woman. Why are they so repelled by me? I'm not obnoxious, always friendly, a great tipper / drinker, and always take the girls back to VIP. Does anyone have any insight on how to connect with one of the dancers when you yourself are female? Or am I the only one having this issue??

Great times can be had as a gf at Bogarts and BTs. I am not so sure about Silver Cricket. At Bogarts, there are several dancers who are friendly. Wear something sexy yourself. We faced the same question as a couple a little while ago (you can check my last few posts). Your experience in terms of being ignored by the girls is very similar to ours in most clubs, and we don't go there together anymore. It should be said that some of the dancers are simply uncomfortable with other women, so you've go to give them that. Our first foray was to the Coloseum on a very crowded, smoky night. We had an OK time but it wasn't idea. On another visit we went to Flight Club (initial post said "Landing Strip") and had a fantastic time. We tried BT's and another place at some point, but nothing compared to Flight Club. Here are a few lessons learned:

1. Negotiate up front no matter what. Some will charge double to entertain a couple, which is reasonable if both members are actively engaged, but in our case, that isn't always how we roll, so we make sure that it is clear that we expect to pay for one.

2. Be open with what you are looking for. They'll be open with what they're willing to do in return.

3. Be ready to pay. It's not cheap to get what you want at FC, but in our case, it was worth every penny.

4. Talk for a while. In our case, we had a wonderful conversation before we headed back to the VIP and it helped all of us be happy and comfortable.

5. Don't bother with someone who isn't obviously and recognizably engaging with you as well as with the guy. You'll end up getting frosty treatment, and that isn't worth it.

I would avoid HS South if you're going as a couple. We tried Bogarts together--a similar kind of place--and it was grim. OK if you're alone and kind of wanting the low-down thing, but unless you decide as a couple that that's what you want, I'd stay with the classier places. As I said, though, it ain't cheap. BTW, airport hotels aren't too far from FC.
