Hi! My boyfriend and I are interested in visiting some of the clubs in Detroit we've heard so much about this weekend. We are a super open-minded couple but I feel like whenever I go to a club the girls just ignore me. What's up with that? Not to sound conceited but I am a very attractive fit young woman. Why are they so repelled by me? I'm not obnoxious, always friendly, a great tipper / drinker, and always take the girls back to VIP. Does anyone have any insight on how to connect with one of the dancers when you yourself are female? Or am I the only one having this issue??

Based on the reports I've read, we are planning to stretch our mileage out and hit Silver Cricket, the Landing Strip, and HVIII South. Planning to get a room along that same road. Who knows what might happen Suggestions are very very welcome.

We faced the same question as a couple a little while ago (you can check my last few posts). Your experience in terms of being ignored by the girls is very similar to ours in most clubs, and we don't go there together anymore. It should be said that some of the dancers are simply uncomfortable with other women, so you've go to give them that. Our first foray was to the Coloseum on a very crowded, smoky night. We had an OK time but it wasn't idea. On another visit we went to Flight Club (initial post said "Landing Strip") and had a fantastic time. We tried BT's and another place at some point, but nothing compared to Flight Club. Here are a few lessons learned:

1. Negotiate up front no matter what. Some will charge double to entertain a couple, which is reasonable if both members are actively engaged, but in our case, that isn't always how we roll, so we make sure that it is clear that we expect to pay for one.

2. Be open with what you are looking for. They'll be open with what they're willing to do in return.

3. Be ready to pay. It's not cheap to get what you want at FC, but in our case, it was worth every penny.

4. Talk for a while. In our case, we had a wonderful conversation before we headed back to the VIP and it helped all of us be happy and comfortable.

5. Don't bother with someone who isn't obviously and recognizably engaging with you as well as with the guy. You'll end up getting frosty treatment, and that isn't worth it.

I would avoid HS South if you're going as a couple. We tried Bogarts together--a similar kind of place--and it was grim. OK if you're alone and kind of wanting the low-down thing, but unless you decide as a couple that that's what you want, I'd stay with the classier places. As I said, though, it ain't cheap. BTW, airport hotels aren't too far from FC.

My wife and I go to subis in Southgate a couple of times a month you can have fun in there there are female friendly girls in there Henrys south is hit and miss might be in subis Saturday night. Whhat ever you guys decide have fun.

Oh, the point isn't missed. I'm mostly saying it isn't too hard to get in there. Well, it wasn't. They've had a lot of turnover recently.

Did you tip on stage or show interest? Who did you try to see that turned you down? From the first time I ever went in the place, it was just like any of the other clubs and I've backroom experiences from day one, with multiple women.

Stopped in with a bunch of women there. There were definitely more women than customers there on Monday. Talked to Paradise, Tropical, Dior, a white girl with giant enhanced cans that wasn't Carrie, Pixie, and Gia.

Tropical is a little bigger black woman. Large breasts if you're into that. She had a pretty normal menu.

Paradise is a very tall black woman with big naturals as well. She had a very open menu.

Dior is another black woman, height between the two. I didn't get a chance for dances with her.

White girl with giant tits had red hair. Seemed pretty nice to talk to, but I didn't get a chance.

Pixie is a white woman, very cute, tiny thing. I didn't get a chance to talk to her much either.

Gia is a tiny black woman with a lip piercing. She's down for whatever you can dish out, it seems like.

Can't say I've ever had any luck at the Criket. I've been there several times, mostly recently several months ago, and the only female to pay any attention to me was the waitress. She was hot, but not a dancer. While fun can be had here, so I've heard, it seems to be a regulars bar and the secret to having fun at a regulars bar is to be a regular. That's pretty hard to do on a first-time visit. Plus, the VIP area only has one booth with privacy booth; the rest of it is couches in plain view.

I'd suggest either BTs / Dearborn or the Landing Strip. Either can vary talent-wise on a given night, as any club can, but both should be better in that respect than either Bogarts or H8.

Anyone know which clubs are closed today for the holiday? I know the Hamilton clubs are open since they are never closed, I'm wondering more about the middle to higher end clubs. Criket, BTs, Penthouse, Flight Club? Thinking of heading out later.

I would like to know myself. I was in Flight Club yesterday and asked, and they are closed July 4th.

BT's website advertises a July 4th Stars and Stripes party, so it looks like they are open. Now how many dancers will be working tonight is another question.

There's nowhere near Novi that I'm aware of, so it looks like you'll have to make the drive to Detroit, Dearborn or downriver. It's hard to give you a hook up on the pricing or best times, since you haven't stated a price range, type of girl that you like or what you're looking for them to do. If I had to choose, I'd say go after 7 pm, because there are typically more girls on night shifts at the clubs. It's been a long time since I've been to BT's, Penthouse or the Landing Strip. From my experience, BT's was good about 2-3 years ago (approximately my last visit), Penthouse was good and the Landing Strip was no fun at all.

If you're rolling the dice downriver, go to the Silver Cricket. Overall, you'll typically find a higher average attractiveness scale than any of the Hamilton clubs and while not great by any means, their "VIP" is better. Honestly though, how hard is it to beat a bar chair on a dirty floor?

From Novi, take the 96-E to the M-5 east and you're on 8 mile in 10 min. The closest club from there is Trumps and then PHC is a few miles further down. That's your best option from Novi, IMO.

Stopped in Thursday night and they had some new talent that I haven't seen before. Total of eight dancers two AA and six Caucasian. They had about 30 customers in the bar the most I have seen in awhile. I only stayed for just over an hour to see the rotation of girls on stage. My favorite was not working this fine July evening so I went on my way. The waitress did tell me that they had been raided recently and hit with a fine. I did see a WSW as I was leaving standing on the corner on John are.

I know its a pretty lame report but it is what it is.
