I've stayed all up and down the strip, but mid strip is the best IMO. I've stayed at the Hotel and its too far south and nearly isolated. Depending on your Budget I would recommend Flamingo which is cheap but decent. If you can get good rates or are not concerned with the cost Bellagio or Caesars. I prefer Bellagio and have stayed at both. I like the casino better at Bellagio. It just has a better feel to it. Its nice looking out you're window and seeing the fountains.
