Fellas you have no worries about the much more heavy presence of LE around the area. This happens once a year for a good 2-3 week stretch. I would be very shocked if LE was this heavy all year around. They would have to remain constant for basically forever if they want to run girls out of the area. Trust me.

I go through the Laurel area everyday. Route 1 between Whiskey Bottom and Main St use to be the spot. The reason it is so dead now is because Howard County is in that area every single night. They sit by the Turf Motel almost every single night. They go up and down route 1 generally every 30-45 minutes doing their peeks. So, if Baltimore really wants to clean up their act they are going to have to follow Howard and Montgomery county ways. Just my opinion.

I remember back in the day that the girls use to block the street on Pontiac and slow down traffic. That was a time when it was a buffet of girls to choose from. I guess the neighbors got tired of it and all the traffic during the evening and not being able to let there kids roam around without some mongers mistaking non working girls. I saw that several times when mongers would slow down and the girls in the neighborhood that were not working being harassed or followed. I have to say this for he ULE, they are putting the clamps on the mongers and the legit girls that are working for tuition. I am just surprised that they have not found a new location but eventually that would have more traffic and more complaints. I myself have not been out there for a long while because of work but I see that some are still finding some entertainment out there but you have to be more careful. Once I started to hear and see the decoys while just driving through, I just starting to think that it was not worth it even though I have some known ones on the list but some of them are helping out the ULE to get off of problem that they have with them. I just assume that it was time to take a break from being out there because most of us have way to much to loose to keep up the hunt and not knowing if you are being the one that is hunted. I am sure that when the weather breaks, there will be the ole talent out there plus a few new one that come into the business but we are not the only ones that know that and ULE will be waiting for that. The decoys are getting better for sure and they do not have a problem pushing the envelope to get a bust. Even if you get off, the pure embarrassment of being seen at the court and the papers printing the names on the blotter will be enough to push most mongers away from the game. I thought that the LE would have lightened up after a few months but they seem to be a mission to stomp it out but we all know that it will not last forever but at the same time it seems that they are really trying to prove something to the residences that want the traffic to slow or stop in there areas. Just be safe and think with the larger head more than the small one even though the smaller one gets ahead of the big head on our necks at times. LOL

This upsets me as the fact there are people out there being mugged, murdered, or even robbed, and they are using LEO in force to stop a harmless crime. I don't see this for drug dealers which is the reason that most SW or out on the track like they are. I see cars running red lights almost hitting people, riding around with no lights on, and even driving the wrong way down the street. None of which is seen by LEO cause they are to busy stopping a hobby. There was a accident that happen and I had to flag down LEO who where just sitting and watching the streets when the guy that got T-boned needed to go to the ER ASAP. Never understand they way things work, there are suppose to be all these cuts yet I see more LEO than I have in the past four years.

I was cruising for a couple of days, and having no luck. I read reports about some SW'ers around the block, so I'd drive through there on my way home. Saw a pretty blonde girl 5'7" 140 lbs standing on the corner at Commerce and Baltimore and she gave me the look. Went around the block and she was standing in the street waiting for me. Made the scoop. Said her name was Jen. She had two moles on her face, but it didn't detract from her appearance. Experience was OK. Would repeat in a pinch. Thanks for the intel, gang.

A few weeks ago I saw Catie, a petite brunette around 5th in B / CB. Freckles. 5'3" 130 lbs. She has a little belly on her, but is real sweet and willing to please. Wow what a talker. I had a good time with her. Would repeat. Nice girl.

After getting busted again and again, the girls finally get hip to the reality that they can't work the streets. If they don't get clean as a result of being shut out from the street, I'm not sure where they'd get the dough to continue their habit. Anyone have any theories on this?

One SW told me that she would go "boosting" whenever the streets were hot. In her case this was going to the large stores and take whatever she thought she could sell. Said it was easy to put whatever she wanted in her coat and just walk out the door; nobody ever chased her down. She tried to sell direct on the street but that took too much time, so she usually sold to some guy she knew who had network of people who sold hot merchandise. She had to get over $100 of merchandise out of the store to get the normal $20 SW fee. She considered this hard work and low pay and preferred being a SW.

As long as there is crack, meth, and heroine, there will be a stroll and SWs. Period. When le shuts down strolls, the SWs that are junkies (which is Par for the course in Bmore) can just be picked up in their neighborhoods, standing at the bus stop, sitting on the stoop, or en route to the next fix. Most non-junkies (that are not on a higher end stroll) are online.

It has been years since I have been in San Diego. However, the few times that I have gone before, I just went to Tijuana to have my fun (I speak fluent Spanish).

That's true, some of your zones have those unusual row houses, which makes "setting up" by sitting on stoops harder to police than typical strolls.

And yes, here in California it was crack meth and esp heroin that sent girls to the street. There were tons of these girls. Yet, SW here was wiped out, and not just here in SD (which used to have lots) but everywhere, including LA's Sunset Strip which was legendary, to even SF and surrounding regions. Geez, Silicon Valley before it was SV was a major stroll. All of it, completely erased.

Which leads to the question, does shutting down the streets to mongering reduce the # of female addicts to the mentioned substances? I think it must. Believe me, junkies have not been getting around le in Cali by setting up at bus stops or starting new strolls. Le just won't allow it. The girls (one's feeding veins) are gone, and they didn't move to BP, at least not here.

In some regions of the US, the girls are still on the streets, due I think to a number of factors, such as sheer numbers of addicts, layout of neighborhoods, budget constraints of le (it's no accident that the only halfway active places for SW in California are the two most depressed cities, Fresno and Stockton) , and general crime levels of the region. IME these factors favor Baltimore and explain why sw has lasted so long there.

All I'm saying is I've been studying the trends on this, both on this board and in my car over some 20 years. Cities that used to have a half-way tolerance of SW are now definitely stepping up their efforts. The stepping-up in California began at least 15 years ago, and I've never seen even one city slack in its efforts to shut down the SW game once they got started. And they won the battle (excluding the aformentioned Fort Apache's of Fresno and Stockton, though there's much less to choose from). It may take them quite a while to do it in Baltimore, but I would bet money this your le's new aim. To follow the nationwide trend to shut it down, and not just contain it. Prudent mongers take heed, don't get caught in the crosshairs of this jihad. Salaam!

Like anyone else, I can't predict the future. But I have seen that when le really makes a move to shut down a zone, they do not quit, they do not let up until it's game over. Here in San Diego, there have been zero girls on the streets, yet le are still doing stings!

I expect the same may be in store for Baltimore. Time will tell.

Was told by A WSW that is well known on this board about 3 UC female LE working the circle on wilkins. One is a oriental with long black hair. The 2nd is a blond that wares her hair up in a bun. The 3rd chick fakes like she has a problem with one of her arms and has trouble using it. They work out of a white van. The WSW that told me this said she spotted the first two right away but the one with the fake arm problem had her going for a while till she saw them all at different times going and coming from the same white van.

Ever take DeSoto from Wilkins to Washington? Sometimes you'll find SWs there. I did so yesterday and a great lookin brunnete was walking along with full SW regalia. I waited in the drive next to chicken wings place. But she never emerged onto the Wilkins-Desoto corner. I drove past where I last saw her and saw white van parked at about where she disappeared. Today, a different WSW, but same van. And I witnessed the 2nd one going into the van. I'm getting a new sense of LE stings. They don't just station a decoy out on a known stroll. They stake out less travelled roads too where perhaps we are less vigilant. Also, the decoys vary greatly, from cartoonish high-heeled, short-skirted charicacters of working girls, to the bedraggled denim-wearing pock marked "poor girls" with dirty sneakers. I just don't pick up any brand new faces. I spend more time in reconnisance mode, but I think it better to go through gas money than court fees.

I've said before that just a few years ago Wilkens Ave. in the area of what was then known as the Pop Shop and then Dunkin' Donuts, then Mama's Kitchen, and maybe a few other names that I've forgotten was like a SW buffet. All you had to do was stop out front and there would be no less that five or six girls hanging out. That's the reason for the "Hooker-free Zone" sign on the house at the corner of Catherine St. That sign has been there for many years. It was in that area that some of my favorites like Chrissy, Stacey (sisters) , Melanie, Crystal, Shannon, Vickie B. and many others used to hang out. Every corner from there down to about Mount St. would have two or three girls standing.

So true. The rules of the games have changed because of cell phones. But ont he bright side, I have approximately a dozen numbers for SWs which I can call anytime. I think the warm weather will get some out of their hiding place.

As for LE, I do not believe they earn much recognition for busing a SW. That is far from being a priority.

Yes, I agree. Use to be a time when I drive the W / W loop and there be plenty nice ones to choose from. Or cruise down to BP / CB and there be some there too. I am missing Crystal from Wilkins, and Melanie from 4th St. Two of my ATFs. Seems like LEO wasn't out as bad then either. Just wish I knew of this forum from the days I first started this hobby. I once pulled in the parking lot of the Pop Shop to pick up Melanie. A cop blocked me as I was leaving and asked if I knew her name. I told him "Melanie," so he asked her if she knew my name. She told him and he said "okay, go on, have a good day." That certainly wouldn't happen now. But LE activity will die down soon. I think this is all a reaction to the new police Chief, and the sudden spike in violent crime. If they can show more arrests of any sort it changes the statistics to look better.
