I've got a burner phone, but was thinking about Google voice since keeping one phone would be easier. The question is. Since Verizon is my carrier, would the calls through the Google voice app show up on my Verison bill call list that is online or on my printed statement? Or, do all of these calls pass over the internet and skip Verison completely?

The google voice app still use my AT&T number to call out on; however, there are some non google apps that will call out on the google number. Just be sure to test it throughly. Different apps work differently.

I was able to setup a google voice number and then use an app (I think "talkatone") that gave me a free alternative number on my iphone. It took me about 15 minutes to figure it all out and make sure the alternative number was being sent on the caller I'd. Works great when I was connecting up with a Craigslist spinner a few weeks ago. When done, I simply deleted the app. All I would need to do is reload the app and sign in with my google voice login if I wanted to use again.
