Wastrel had mentioned that every year this seems to happen and then goes away. Correct me if I'm wrong, but THIS level of activity is something I haven't seen in the ten or so years...

Don't take my word for it on that; I don't. Believe what you see and remember. Much of my information on W Trop comes from what I've heard from others. I've never been a frequent flyer on the westside of town, so your recollection is likely to be more accurate than mine.

They sure do. They have actual see-through windows in their cars and the County even buys gas for them to drive around and look at things and stuff. And in case they forget to look out the window, at least a third of the heavy movers and shakers with serious money and political juice in Nevada drive right up Trop every day, from their offices in and around the resort corridor to their estates up the hill a ways. Really, even if it's not good for much of anything else, as a chokepoint for east-west traffic it's got to be just about the most visible piece of curb in the state, more so than doing it in front of the Bellagio fountain where you could get lost in the crowd of tourists, and it would be relatively more discrete to turn tricks under the Mayor's conference room window.

...The stupid will be weeded out, and this CANNOT last.

I'll hang a line on that proposition right now. I make the over and under at about three weeks from now (a little before the town fills up for the July 4th holiday) so it's now officially -110 to win 100 on whether Metro has completed their inevitable Tropicana streetsweeping operation before or after June 26th, with or without some doors battered down over at the Budget Suites and a few California registered Cadillacs impounded from there.

Here we go with another report. Wow, two in the space of a month. I might get carpal tunnel.

I went with one of the younger looking ones last night. But damn are there a lot of choices. Some even walking in twos and threes. Wastrel had mentioned that every year this seems to happen and then goes away. Correct me if I'm wrong, but THIS level of activity is something I haven't seen in the ten or so years I've discovered this hobby in this town. I mean one could plop themselves anywhere from Arville to DM, and see at least two within eyesight, and at times I've seen up to seven at one time.
Anyway, back to the lady I was with. A BSW that called herself Ci Ci (OR C.C.) and I partook whilst waiting for ANOTHER girl that called herself Nature. I found her and negotiated, but she had a prior appointment she had to fulfill and said she'd be out afterwards. She was a fine looking thing, and clearly over 18. I waited for a good 20 minutes and had noticed C.C. before, but didn't talk because she looked to be high school age. I finally sidled over and made some small talk while we checked each other out. Her I.D. looked real enough, so instead of waiting around for a girl who had just peformed, I figured to go with this very petite cute young thing. Very nice time, and I learned that casino security is apparently cracking down HARD, and that is what is driving the activity on Trop. Don't know how reliable info. is from one young girl or if her experience is representative of most/all, but it seems to make sense given the quality that Wastrel mentioned earlier. Cost me 60 clamaroos, and she was easily an 8 or higher. She could probably easily get five times that at the casinos.
More ammo for the cops? I appreciate that, but the cops already know about it, trust me. I saw a bust go down right in the Terrible Herbst parking lot. The stupid will be weeded out, and this CANNOT last.

I enjoy your LV and LA posts. And while I get to LV often, certainly not as much as you from your West Coast base. That said, let's not jump to overstatements that potentially draw even more LE attention to Tropicana than it's already getting and ultimately ruin a good thing. I'll be back shortly and will certainly check out the scene again (if its still there), but based on what I saw a week ago there's NO way that "many" are under 18. Young yes, as in 18-24, but c'mon. Mongers dumb enough to chance things with anyone who may be younger deserve the consequences.

PM me if you've actually got evidence to support your sweeping generalizations ("Every single one", "All of them," "most are", "many are"). What are you checking IDs and doing interrogations? I'm sure our LEO friends monitoring the board appreciate the heads up.

I agree Speck. I got a good look at a couple late last night by the Chevron near the Orleans. Those girls weren't a day over 16-17. One was so young, she didn't have the walk right.

I don't know exactly what leads me to suspect all of this just by looking, so I could easily be mistaken, but that's the feeling I get. Some of them really are exceptional lookers, and I imagine they could be working the resorts too, unless they've had problems with security from the two major Strip conglomerates, which between them control close to 90% of the resort corridor now. The majority of them I saw were way, way over the top in their outlandish “do-me” costumes. If the skirts were just a little shorter I could have counted pubic hairs.

Since last week I’ve remembered that I need to go shopping for something or other at the Home Depot on West Tropicana. About a dozen times or more.

Obviously I had bad timing and hit a temporary slow patch last week, becuase I have since seen ladies working Trop at all hours, middle of the night, middle of the day, whatever, and many of them looked quite tasty, but it looks to me like the biggest prime time there was right around afternoon rush hour, around five and sixish in the p.m. I have absolutely no idea what the working girls think a motorist is going to do about it on that street at that hour. Wave and blow them a kiss from the middle of the traffic and throw money out the window, perhaps.

I took the suggestion of Wild Wild West as a hangout, and it's a good one for fooling around there. It's pleasantly cheesy, feels kind of like a small version of a downtown joint, and while you can't tell what's up on the street from inside the casino the parking lot has a fine view of the urban wildlife. I did see one BSW come in from off the street, and she was a trim attractive little package that I might have been willing to break into my piggy bank for, but she was walking crisply like she had a purpose as she crossed the casino, and in moments she was joined by two grumpy companions who looked like "Mr. T" after a few years working the prison weight-pile, and the three of them were all business as they headed towards the rooms.

The area around about Wendy's to Polaris on both sides of Trop looked most consistently busy to me, with a few more occasionally scattered up several blocks further west, but I didn't see anything happening anywhere past Arville at all, and also didn‘t find any on the side streets.

While visiting Las Vegas for the hoilday weekend, I figured I'd see for myself if Tropicana was really as lively as earlier posters proclaimed. From what I saw, they are telling the truth! Monday evening around 7:00 PM, I drove west on Tropicana and saw a number of SW between Industrial and Valley View. Most were on the north side of the street, but there appearead to be a decent selection. However, you'll need to be careful. Further west on Tropicana, I saw as police car stopped in front of the bus stop near Wynn. The office had a SW handcuffed standing in front of the vehicle. I don't know if she was arrested for fighting or some other offense, but do be aware police are in the area.

Becareful if you use the Hampton Inn on the corner of Trop/D.Martin to make U-Turns. They got security now that will jump out at you and might write down your tags.

I went to Seamless on Arville on monday night and noticed a few girls that i've seen on the track. I think before/after their shifts they hit the track to make a few bucks.
Also, I notice a lot of action around the main bar in Orleans near sports book. I think the chickens come in, stroll thru and make a loop before heading back out on the track.

I've noticed chickens strolling on Arville north of Trop and Decatur north of Trop at various times.

Visited LV the other day eager to check out the action on Tropicana. I've mentioned before that IMO the LV SW scene is disappointing for a town known as Sin City. CG quantity and quality is great, but SW quantity and quality tends to be spotty at best. Before Wastrel takes me to task again, yes I freely acknowledge that a major reason is likely the smaller population base of the LV metro area.

That said, I was hopeful based on the recent reporting that maybe things are changing for the better. Less than an hour after touching down in the middle of the day, I was cruising Tropicana which is close to where I was staying. The very first SW I spotted was w/o question the hottest SW I've ever seen in LV. This young WSW was dressed in short skirt and heels. A 9 or 10 on the SW scale. She was a very fresh, healthy looking 18-19 year old. Do-able beyond belief. Maybe 5'7" with sexy legs, pretty face with luscious full lips. I was just out looking but this girl was so hot she drove me to action. On my third pass I did a little maneuver at the gas station at Valley View. She'd just turned down another monger at the corner and I cut into her path. I offered her a ride. She nodded no and just kept walking. Ouch. That's a much more direct and public pickup than I almost ever attempt, and maybe she was concerned about that or thought my line was a little too LE-like. Afterward I was second-guessing what other line or approach I should have used. Ah, the story of the one that got away.

Over the course of my stay I probably drove this stroll 6-8 more times, all times of the day and night. There was always action but until my last pass I never saw a WSW anywhere near as hot as that first one. Most were 4-7's. Still better and more plentiful than downtown. Did find plenty of decent BSWs with good tight bodies in sexy outfits however. On one early nighttime visit I saw quite an interesting sight. At the corner of Industrial, a 30ish blonde was alternating between streetwalking and flashing a cardboard sign on the sidewalk and median. I didn't actually see what the sign said but I'm guessing it was like the ones the homeless guys use to beg for money. I saw a couple of cars w/ kids inside hand her money while waiting at the stoplight. Gotta give her points for creativity. Try whatever works.

Saturday night I picked up Tammy, a WSW. Skinny, shortish dark blonde hair, probably early 30's. Not bad looking, with pretty eyes, and a decent body, but overall no more than about a 6 once I got her in the car. Agreed to $ for FS at my hotel. Walking her to my room, her speech was mumbly and I could see her hair was a mess and she'd put on a ratty looking little jacket. I started to lose interest already. I'd also been up almost 24 hrs at that point, so overall it was not a great session at all. Before and afterward she asked to take almost every freebie in the room (toiletries, magazines). At least she asked, but it didn't exactly leave me feeling she was a high class pickup. :-)

On my last pass before heading to the airport, I found a ton of action in early evening. Lots of hot looking BSWs and several very good looking WSWs. Saw them as far up as the Orleans and that's as far as I went. The scene was comparable in quantity/quality to what I see on a good weekend night in AC. Time and funds were a little short by then so I passed. But all in all it was good to see LV at least temporarily with a stroll worthy of the city and its sinful reputation.

There were TONS of cg's out this weekend. Thursday night I played poker at Mirage until about 1am and then headed over to Victoria Room at Barbary Coast for a late night snack. I got approached by so many hookers that I had to shoo them away. I had drinken too much and it was not worth my money.
