None of the felony cases listed above has anything to do with so-called sex buyers. Clear-out the buyers and there will still be issues along Aurora. Prior to the city repealing the loitering laws in 2020, the stroll from what I recall was dying and activity had decreased pretty sharply. As soon as the city council voted unanimously to repeal those loitering laws, the SW population along Aurora suddenly exploded. That had nothing to do with sex buyers / johns increasing demand, that had everything to do with the city repealing their own laws which created that demand. These fucking assholes on city council are responsible for that, not any of us, and they've fooled all citizens into believing that. I'm incredibly frustrated by this. And the only reason they repealed the prostitution loitering laws along Aurora is because they were deemed discriminatory and disproportionately harmful to women of color, low-income individuals, and vulnerable people who were often victims of sex trafficking, LOL. So they increased the demand for the very same population they were aiming to protect. Buyers came out because suddenly there were hot girls who looked like strippers standing out on Aurora en masse. Many, MANY people began to believe that prostitution was decriminalized because the police weren't doing anything. I have the opinion that many men were busted and criminalized as a result. The city created this problem and now they're looking for someone to blame rather than realize they fucked-up. "We've made a mistake, we were aiming to protect vulnerable populations, it didn't work as intended. We have reinstated loitering laws along Aurora and we will be vigorously enforcing them" is all they gotta do. They won't, because they can't admit it.

What's also interesting is that the government seems to be using the situation along Aurora to punish the entire sex industry in the entire state. So, it's conceivable that someone booking a date on TNA, for example, could end-up getting nailed for a felony. I believe that street work has generally decreased pretty dramatically throughout most of the state and even throughout the Seattle metro area, however they'll use the situation from a few mile stretch of Aurora to enact state law.

Of those 427 cases, how many are in jail?

It's basically entrapment already, but with a misdemeanor. Allow the girls out there to shake there ass 24/7 pretty much nude and then bust you when you try and pickup a girl? It's a joke. Now they want to make it a felony to try and pickup a girl that is fully nude standing on a corner.

The dirty secret is that law enforcement and the criminal justice system overall do not have the resources to enforce such a law. So any enforcement will be highly selective.

At best what this accomplishes is to move "the problem" around and not really solve it.

    RE: Another Shooting

This is absolutely correct and something which I've been harping and raving about. I actually live adjacent to the communities involved and you'd be surprised how many residents don't support the view of arresting SWs out there. While I myself hate to see anyone being arrested, if they're serious about cleaning this up then this is what they'll have to do. It might help clean-up some of the suspected and alleged UAs out there lately, too. The city has done a number on getting citizens to really, seriously believe that all sex workers are abused, addicted and kidnapped by some large international trafficking ring and accordingly they are all victims who should be protected. That nobody in their right mind would ever choose to work in anything connected to the sex industry. Some even extend this to the adult film industry (porn). Even a very recent opinion piece in the Seattle Times has reflected this view. Something to the effect of "it's a shame that the city doesn't help nor protect residents along Aurora while there are innocent victims working street corners throughout the area". It's pretty astonishing the effect of the propaganda. In my view a start could be exercising the loitering laws to have police go out and I'd SWs and talk to them like they used to do prior to 2020. Whenever I start debating this with neighbors I get strong push-back, it's clear they don't want anyone messing with these innocent victims out there. I don't really know how they're going to solve the problems out there without addressing this issue from a realistic viewpoint.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm ranting about this yet again ad nauseam, but I think at some point the rubber band will snap back sharply so be careful.

    Army here checking in

I'm new to the site and the scene so never have done anything. I was in the army stationed in Clarksville, Germany (Graf), and Carson so I've been around while in. Army infantry 11 B.

Many of those are several years old when there was daytime action. It is more of a night stroll now.

Also BigDumper, can you elaborate on the details of that Jack in the Box shooting? How did you know it was "brutal" - where did you find additional information? I tried googling the incident but could only get surface level info of it.

Bro, stop trying to get political while using scary buzz words that you don't understand. Either talk about pussy here or find your reddit echo chamber and go there.
