I figured making a page about stings in Mass will keep us guys abreast of whats' going on out there. If you guys have any reports of an arrest dealing with sex for a fee, Post it,....but

ARREST MADE FOR SOLCITING A PROSTITUTE

At about 2:15am, Wednesday, March 21, 2007, plain-clothes officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) observed a woman, known to be a prostitute, talking to an individual in a van at the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Maywood Street. Officers then pulled their unmarked cruiser along side the van. The operator of the van, however, did not immediately see the officers. As such, officers heard him say to the female, “Come on honey .. get in.” However, when the operator of the van finally saw the officers, he began yelling at the female, “Get out of my car!” The operator of the van then attempted to speed off, with the female hanging onto the motor vehicle. Officers then activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) and stopped the van. Officers then arrested xxxxxx, 50, of Dorchester and charged him with Soliciting Prostitution and Driving to Endanger.

Over a week ago I told you guys bha was hot and they were on the sweep.The track stars know the drill just ask them whats up.

All of this simply proves an old free-market economic rule: business activity seeks the friendliest and most effective marketing channels. CM is right, but it's not just CL - there are hundreds of websites providing a place for providers to advertise their services. Take a look at them, and you'll find the same women, using the same pictures, on several sites. The thing that CL provides that the others do not is current information because of the need to refresh posts. Unfortunately, as has been mentioned so often here, the percentage of good providers on CL is very low.

Someone - and I cannot remember who, so I can't properly attribute his sage comment - said that it seems that in the progressive liberal areas of the country, the street action is dying...and in the more traditional, religious and conservative areas it's flourishing. Could that be because computer networking resources and computer literacy is more prevalent in those well populated, progressive liberal areas - that more providers know about and are capable of using the friendlier marketing channels on the internet?

If the volume of providers now selling their services on the internet or with publications were to return to the streets, it would be like the sixties and seventies multiplied several times over. LE would not have the resources to make a big dent in the business. That's what is happening on the internet - while you read about a few busts made by LE using CL, by comparison to the total volume of people using the internet, those busts are like a mosquito bite on the back of an elephant.

Any use of the internet to find providers has risks associated with both incalls and outcalls - either they are going to come to your turf, [b]if you are at home[/b], or you are going to play on their turf, and walk into the unknown. The risks associated with either should be pretty obvious.

Overall, the risks to both providers and customers is now much less using the internet than working and trolling the streets because the volume of activity is beyond LE resources. This makes your individual odds of getting busted much lower.

For those of us who live for "Le Chasse" sitting at the computer just doesn't make it. It just isn't as much fun, and at least on the street, [b]what you see is what you will get[/b], actual quality of service notwithstanding.

Hmmm...I wonder if it would help to use one of those steering wheel and pedal game controllers while trolling the internet action...

we can't even get a beer at 3am.

I would rather roll the dice on the street after dark rather than meet a gal unknown and unseen most of the time with a driver for the high 1 hr price they now want.As you can read the gals operating on the net have chemical problems also.Safer?? who knows its your call I would rather look in the mirror and see who is behind me while driving.Rather than trying to see who is standing be hind a door,wall whatever wanting to take what I got.Its a bad deal out there eather way.

Suspect charged with offering sex for a fee

By Maureen Boyle, Enterprise staff writer

BROCKTON — A 23-year-old woman who advertised for “some company” at $80 a shot on Craigslist wound up seeing some folks she didn't bargain for.

The woman was arrested by state and Brockton police, minutes after meeting an undercover officer and offering to perform oral sex for $75 in a car, Lt. John Crowley, chief of detectives, said.

The arrest was made after Detective Ernest Bell saw an advertisement on Craigslist where people can search for apartments, jobs, used cars, friends and dates. featuring photos of a woman offering $80 for “an unwrapped lollipop” and recognized her from earlier arrests, Crowley said.

The ad featured two photos of the woman and noted she would have to be picked up. “I'm only available for car dates at this time, but I should have a in-call location soon,” she wrote.

Bell disguised his voice, called the woman on the number she listed in the ad and made arrangements to meet her, Crowley said.

“He negotiated for an 'unwrapped lollipop' for $75,” Crowley said.

But the woman knew what Bell looked like because he arrested her in the past.

That meant another officer had to go meet her, Crowley said.

That's when the new “quality of life” patrol in the city — where a Brockton officer and state trooper pair up in plain-clothes to target problems that effect a neighborhood — stepped in to help.

Trooper Robert Dubois, who was paired with officer William Schlieman, went to pick up the woman on a city street in an undercover car Thursday afternoon.

When the woman got in the car, she explained what acts she would perform and she was then arrested, Crowley said.

XXXXXXXXXXXXX who was arrested on prostitution charges in the past, was charged with offering to engage in sex for a fee.

The case is one of a growing number in the country where sex for a fee is being advertised online.

More than 100 men were arrested in Seattle, Wash. last year in a police sting targeting escort services.

Nearly three-fourths of the men responded to postings in the “erotic services” category on craigslist. Nassau police in New York arrested five people last year, accusing them of using Craigslist to advertise prostitution.

ASHLAND - Police say two local woman took advantage of a mentally disabled man, using his apartment to run a prostitution service that they advertised under the guise of a "sensual massage" on the Web site craigslist.org.

The women, <name>, 48, and her pregnant spouse, <name>, 30, advertised on the Internet, but investigators said yesterday they were actually prostitutes offering sex in exchange for $300.

Police arrested <> and <> at 50 Park Road on Thursday at 7:45 p.m., after two undercover officers met with the pair after answering their ad on craigslist.org.

The pair was working out of 50 Park Road, which is across the street from Stone Park. Detective Greg Fawkes said the apartment building is for the elderly and people with mental disabilities.

Fawkes said the two women were staying with a mentally disabled man at the apartment. Police do not think he realized they were allegedly soliciting for sex. The women may have been working there for as long as a month, Fawkes said.

"The second we found out about it, we acted on it within the hour, especially when it's happening in an elderly complex," Fawkes said.

On Thursday, at about 5 p.m., Fawkes and Officer Chris Alberini began searching craigslist.org, an online clearinghouse that sometimes features ads offering sexual services for money, to see if anyone was advertising in Ashland.

They found the ad for the massage, which read, in part: "Our goal is to please our clients, so you tell us what you want," and later in the ad, "Our promise is you will leave with a smile on your face."

Fawkes called the phone number provided and spoke to a woman about the ad. He said he and a friend wanted to meet for sex. She said it would cost each of them $200, Fawkes said.

The woman instructed them to meet her and her wife at the elderly apartment complex. She invited them inside, where she and <> told them the order of events for the night.

"They said we would get a massage and then they would put a show on for us and give us a happy ending," said Fawkes. "Then they asked for the money. I bargained them down a little bit" to a total of $300.

Once the money was exchanged, Fawkes excused himself to go to the bathroom and called for backup. The two women were arrested and charged with offering sex for a fee.

Although no one was hurt, such arrests are important, Fawkes and police Chief Scott Rohmer said.

"There's been prostitution since the beginning of time and there will continue to be prostitution to the end of time, but we want to deter it in our town," Fawkes said.

Rohmer said, "It's a quality of life issue. Ashland is a nice community. Quite frankly, we don't want that happening in our community."

Both <> and <> pleaded not guilty at their Framingham District Court arraignments yesterday and were released without bail. Neither would comment about the case.

They are both due back in court on July 25 for a pretrial conference.

Three Nabbed in Prostitution Sting

Between 11:15pm on Friday, June 8 and 12:30am on Saturday morning June 9, 2007, officers from District B-2 arrested three females for soliciting an undercover police officer for illicit sex acts. XXX XXXX, 39, of Dorchester, XXX XXXX, 35, of Roxbury and XXX XXXX, 44, of Boston were all arrested in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Standwood Street. They all face charges of Sex for a Fee.

I saw on the fox 25 news at 10 that le did a sting in kingston new hampshire. They thought they were going to get around 35 but only got 2. The fox 25 news repeats at 1am.

Sorry to relate info from an article in the local paper. Apparently the Chelsea Police have put a priority on cleaning up street prostitution. There have been two sweeps, one a couple of weeks ago on johns (Park Square area. They nailed 10 guys) and one last week focused on the ladies in Bellingham Square (7 arrested). Even the Chief got into the action and made an arrest on Everett Ave. Last week. Operation EPIC. Eliminate prostitution in Chelsea. Just putting the word out to be extra careful!

Search Warrant Executed at 20 Leicester Street.

Since April 2005, detectives from District D-14 have been conducting an on-going investigation of unlawful massage and prostitution businesses in Allston/Brighton. Detectives have executed over forty search warrants and have made over one hundred arrests of individuals who have been involved in unlawful/unlicensed massage and prostitution businesses.

On August 21, 2007 an undercover officer answered a posting on craigslist, which read “Gorgeous Mistress available to meet submissive men”.

On August 23, 2007 at approximately 2:30pm the undercover officer placed a telephone call and spoke to an unknown female and asked her if she was "Mistress Gorgeous" at which time she replied “Yes, how can I help you?” The undercover officer informed “Mistress Gorgeous” that he had been conversing with her by email and the undercover officer gave “Mistress Gorgeous” his name. “Mistress Gorgeous” then told the under cover officer that she lived in an apartment building and it is at 20 Leicester Street in Brighton.

“Mistress Gorgeous” then asked the undercover officer “How long do you want, you know my rates” at which time the undercover officer told “Mistress Gorgeous” that he could “only stay for the half hour”. “Mistress Gorgeous” then quoted the undercover officer a price of $175.00.

On August 24, 2007 at 9:18pm, detectives executed a search warrant for 20 Leicester Street. Officers knocked on the door and announced “Boston Police Search Warrant”, within a few seconds a male voice inside the apartment stated just a minute and seconds later the apartment door was opened.

27-year-old xxxx xxxxxx and 29-year-old xxxxx xxxxxx, both of Brighton were both arrested and charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee, Allowing a Premise to be used for Immoral Purposes.

Since the crackdown began, 40 illegal “massage parlors” and S&M dungeons in the area have been shut down, and at least 100 suspected prostitutes and johns have been arrested, Fong said.
“We use the Internet to try to get a handle on the prostitution problem. Many of the street workers have been pushed out,” Fong said. “They are moving outside of the city.”

It's probably best that we refrain from this hobby for a while, since all the stings seem to be a priority now. Not sure who's priority it is but be careful.

Dong or Fong whatever his name is is an idiot....... So now that there are no girls working the streets he is chasing the girls who are working indoors...only to chase them back out to the street... is that logical?

I remember a few years back when there was a lot of prostitution in CT. There used to be an Asian officer who used to go after john's and ho's like he was on a crusade. I wonder if it's the same guy.

He busted a girl I know two years ago who started working off of CL's. She actually didn't want to meet him because she thought there was something up. He keep calling back until she finally did agree to meet him and then popped her when she showed up. My hero. I know we are a biased lot but really, I think the BPD could be putting their resources to better.
