I can remember before Uncle Simon broke it up, there use to be a couple of back alley brothels before you get to the UC School of Applied Science. There was also several along that alley off of e. Clifton. These place were working like a well run business. And at the time 10-15 was the going rate so you know that was long ago. Before crack destroyed the SW trade.
Then there were a lot of very sexz, attractive women of all ages, black & white.
And vine street was loaded along with Walnut, with SW. Most of the SW working the street were not people who lived in the area. And people would tell the SW's not to walk in front of their homes, and too take it to the proper area (s).
At Gilbert and Lincoln and Peebles corner Walnut Hills, along the Five Point area in Evanston, along Reng Rd. In Avondale, and along Madison Rd. In Madisonville. And along 8th street LPH, with other places working full time. There were working small brothels all over the place, and you could walk right pass one and never know it. The got busted because they started dealing drugs more than girlz. The profits were to great, thus too tempting!
Uncle Simon changed everything, but then came crack! Crack kill the trade, and brought real crime into the game. Now the pimps are making mre money selling drugs than girls, and then the turf wars began, and they gangs then took over, and crime, drugs, and murder, became big business, in the poor communities all around the country.
Things will never ever be that way again. Not here!

Don't Have much to tell but on Saturday night I watched LE round up girls and guys sitting at the boarded up apartment building steps on Race and McMicken. It was obvious LE drove up and began questioning them and next they were search for drugs. They were all rounded up in a paddy wagon.
It's been quieted on this board.

If you do not have a guide, or not from this area, it is not worth your time. Too many police per 100 or 1000 people.

If you live here in Cincy, looking for for SW's is difficult but not impossible.
When you are looking read and know the rules of Mongering. It is basically
Common Sense, and common sense really is not common, so it should be called Uncommon Sense. If you are not good at picking up ladies, then don't act like you are. You may miss a lot of women out, but don't jump at every chance. Drive the area, no more the 2-3 time and never use the same course. Drive in different directions. Stop at the Corner Store and buy something (i.e. a pop, gum, chips) just to look at the area. Stopping doesn't look safe, but 99% of the time it is. Just park close by the store. Once you become use to it, you can park a little farther away, to walk up there. The girls see you, and get use to you. They do pay attention, well most times they do.
Make certain you separate your spending more and put in an extra 10-15 in case you meet, a STAR and she wants more, than normal. You should have to spend more than 20-25-30 for FS. From any price FS is normally only about 5-10 more. Try to start with FS, then you can change as you wish, to something less.
Find yourself a Favorite spot if you like the outdoor service. Avoid doing it in the car if at all possible. And "NEVER EVER" do it on a "No Outlet" street. Always have a way out, so avoid one way streets too, if possible. One way can't always be avoided, but take caution and care.
Learn to get yourself a snack and eat it at a public location, where you can see what is going on. A lot of people eat their lunch and dinner in the car, in OTR/WE, and are not hassled. Stay, away from the dope corner areas.
You will be SURPRISED, at how often the SW's of the area will walk over to you in the car, or give you the eye, once they know you are open and looking.
It will take time to learn everything you need to learn, and you will make some mistakes. You have read the post on them. Still, you will learn and get better.
If you are from Out-of-Town, don't even bother.You will need someone from Cincy who mongals to guide you. And not just anyone, but someone who knows the area and the procedures.

The way I see it the independents are better. With SW's, you get the danger of being arrested, mugged and killed. Any I would think the likelihood of dz would be much higher. Doesn't it make more sense to hire an independent?
Note: when I say internet independents I am not referring to anybody on CL, though there are a few that I know that are for real.

Tough question to answer. Kinda like "Why do you prefer a Chevy versus a Ferrari?" It's all a question of value, mileage, and maintainance costs.
Value: Internet independent provided is probably 10-20x more expensive than a SW and for me, not worth it.
Mileage: My limited IIP experience (combined with coversation with other mongers) tells me IIPs have a more limited menu and a much longer list of "off limits" rules than SWs. Also, pushing those limits and expanding the menu really hits the wallet.
Maintainance: Again, based on limited experience, it seems like IIPs start to get more expensive with repeat business, expecting more "stuff" over and above the business transaction. They're taking advantage of the addiction factor here (you've come back several times so you much really like it - therefore you'll probably pay more if they start raising the ante). SWs seems to become a better deal as they get to know you because they're also thinking about the safety thing. Much better for them to get into a car they know with a predictable monger than an unknown car/monger. Could be LE, could be rough, could be worse. The safety you provide as a predictable repeater becomes part of the cost of services. Rarely so with IIPs.
IIPs probably provide a sense of safety in the beginning but that difference probably evaporates as you get some street smarts and intuition about what's going on around you. Once you get that intuition and don't do stupid things that just invite rip-offs, transmission, or trouble - I'm not sure IIPs are better (at least for me).
The one situation where I think IIPs are a better choice are traveling. Just like Cincinnati, most cities are pretty tough to monger successfully on a short one-time visit where you don't have a lot of time, don't know the strolls, don't know the faces, don't know the really dangerous intersections, and don't know the local LEO tricks. That's a recipe for disaster with a capital D.
So - better is in the eye of beholder and everone's definition of better is the right one for them. I can't afford to buy a Ferrari, can't afford to put gas in it for the miles I drive, and can't afford to pay the shop $750+ for an oil change so I drive a Chevy. A Ferrari is an awesome, great car - just not for me.

Safety:
Picking up SW's is fairly safe. The chances of getting mugged and or killed is extemely low or nill unless you go to their room. Most SW's are nice girls and believe me they are far more concerened that some guy is going to beat or rape them.
If you take the proper precautions the chances of getting arrested is fairly low. Just follow the 22 rules of mongering and drive a good distance from where you pick up the SW and you will be fine.

The Mongers I have talked to, it is about the "Money & the Hunt". I think the money is more a factor, then anything else.
For me Money is a factor and the Hunt is Second. Safety and other concerns are important, but it is about money. If I had the money of a wealthy man I would do Escorts. Ask Cobe Bryant .... if he had done that, he would have never gotten in trouble and Escorts are considered Pro's that keep their mouths shut. Heidi Style !!!! That suppose to work in Theory.
I can't afford to spend 75-100-150 or more for SEX. I mean I would have to take a ton of Viagra just to make certain that I got my money's worth. The times I have spent money on an escort, it was about one nut and then it's over, so you do everything else before you Finish Off. Some you can get all you want for an hour or the time you pay for, but you better know her rules well before you start. I am just way too "Thirty" to pay that kind of money for SEX.
A street SW, for the same money can get you two girls at the same time, and for sometime over an hour. Normally you are not that lucky, but it happens, and you still have only spend 50-60 buck, and get two nut over the time.
If you can get straight again, you can get another quickie with a new SW, for a third one before you decide to go home. That is a very good day. Before the Crack Down it was not Uncommon.
If for any reason you get ripped off by either an Escort of a Street SW, the amount of money taken can make a World of Difference. If a street SW takes me for some money, it is rarely more than 20 bucks.
If an Escort or AMP, Rips-U-Off, it can be for more than 100+ dollars. That makes a difference.
For that type of money, I would go after the Escort, and possibly cause a scene, and argue over my money. I can not afford to loose that kind of money. I know I should let it go, but my first reaction is to get my money back.
If the SEX is NOT GooD, I won't be out of 100's. Escort often have a lot of Rules .... Do's & Don'ts. With my money, I want very few rules. And sometimes they rely on LOOKs and Build, instead of Skillz.
With a Street SW, again I would still only be out 20+ buck or less.
I am going to be finished in 15-20 anyway, and I get more than NOT, what I want, with few rules, arguments, or Do's and Don'ts. Street SW's can't just rely on Looks and Build, (Yea some do), they have to show some Skillz.
Most have some decent Skillz, and give you a lot for your money.
The Cleanliness Factor of great concern, and the Drugs is a Heavy factor too.
Street SW's do a lot of Jones-ing and Drugging, but that does not mean Escorts don't use drugs too.
The Next Big Factor is being disease "FREE". That is a greater factor to me than Money, so I do want I need to to reduce that factor. I always "Always" use a condom, but I don't like condom BJ's.
It rarely works for me, and those SW's, that use the CBJ method, I do not reject, I just have them do something else, to get by.
Next it is the Hunt .... the Hunt !!!! That little bit of respect and kindness, goes a long way.
I don't like being hassled by the Fuzz, and finding spots to "Quickie" in, and most of all the lack of decent SW's. The quantity of decent SW's really Sucks.
Just look at other areas around the Board and you will know, compared to our City.
I am right now having better Luck on just dating sites. Even the Phone Services.
There are more Part Timers on the dating sites working the net, and only asking for 50 or less for what they would give for free. Sometime they are very nice looking, and other time, just some over weight horny chick, looking to make a few dollars. They really get into it, like they really LOVE, having a Man Around.
They have less rules than Escorts and are Safer than Street SW's.
Plus, you are only paying a 20-30 buck more than the street price, and at least 75-100 less than the Escort price.
It would just get too long if I tried to write a post in detail, so if I did not answer the question in a way that you understand you can, I tried my best in the short time I had.

Thanks for all the advice. I wish I had the nerve to monger like all of you. It would be much cheaper and a heck of alot more exciting. I've done the independent thing and am now thinking of the cost considering the embarrassingly short time I am with them. I did, for a second, consider CL. But even if legit, they are almost the same cost. I'm going to look at the monger rules and perhaps dive into this real slow.

So I decided to do a drive thru of some areas today thinking that the warm temps would bring out some talent. Now I haven't checked out Covington in years so I went the old route where I used to see them, the stretch of Madison from 12th on down, also Scott and the side streets between them. Nothing at all to be seen.
Next I hit OTR and saw a few along Henry and Elm. Saw one I wanted to get a better look at so I pulled over on Elm and waited for her to go by. Good thing I did cuz the next thing I saw was two LE on cycles up at the corner on McMicken. That's the next pic of one of 'them looking right at me. She caught me by surprise by turning down Race and taking a right at the first alley cuz as I pulled away there she was pulling up toward my passenger side. She was pretty cute for LE so I gave her a wink and a wave of my camera hand. Maybe it was the smartass in me or the fact that tail is tail even if it is wearing a badge. Whatever the reason, I pulled away and turned onto McMicken. By that time her partner had stopped the SW I had just waved on and lady LE was soon joining him. I've got a feeling that my day would've ended up pretty shitty if I hadn't passed on her.
Went up to PH and LPH and nothing anywhere at that time. What a disappointing afternoon.

Thanks for the pics and the reality check. I feel for you guys in the snow up there. I kinda like the idea of living in Florida now even more. The guy drove down McM and there was an interesting new wsw hanging at the rainbow but, for reasons discussed below, he said he decided to drive on by with just a smile and a wave.
The most interesting thing that he mentioned was city LE sitting in the church parking lot on McM/Race. It was just a stroke of luck that he saw them because they were sitting back in the lot behind a couple/three other cars. They were parallel with McM with their back facing the building. Sounds like they were tucked away pretty good. He spent the time driving from Race to Vine trying to figure out why they would be buried back there where they couldn't see anything. It got much more obvious when he got down to the light at McM/Vine when he said he just glanced into his side mirror. They were perfectly lined up to have a clean view all the way up McM but you'd never know it was an LE car from what he could see.
Not sure if the wsw at the rainbow was part of anything but he said he wasn't taking any chances. She sure didn't look "too good to be true" and she was just hanging versus working hard to get guys to pull over. She also looked a little out of it so this guy concluded she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time but he wasn't going to join her in that issue.
As the guy got up to leave, he looked at me and said "now you know why I always drive the neighborhood before I stop for anyone". Then he turned and in the blink of an eye was gone. I thought "chit - if this were a movie, Sam Sheppard would be that guy and the credits would start rolling now".
Anyway, that's what I heard about OTR.

I did a little Google Earth research, and the attached image shows how right he was. Of course, most mongers know that the block of McM between Race and Vine is just about the hottest spot in OTR, at least until recently. And yes, your friends advice sounds RIGHT ON THE MONEY: Cruise the neighborhood to run your LE radar.

Yep, he was sitting about 20 feet straight back from the yellow dot along the line you've drawn. I know he and many others have seen LE in that lot before but they always seemed to have more interest in facing south-southeast, towards the McM/Race intersection or seemed to be parked more like the cars in the photo. This was the first time I heard about the view down McM that your pic makes completely obvious and having the map like this will help other folks as they drive the neighborhood.

Careful, there is also a spot at the top of the hill behind that lot and behind that factory/warehouse. I think you get to that spot if you go up Mohawk. It's a lookout about thirty feet above the the lot on the back right corner.

That has been LEO main spot during the beginning of operation Vortex. With spring just around the corner, expect more sighting of LE at this spot and others.
I've included some pictures of the view from the ground. Thanks Giani for the aerial shots but I wanted to show what it looks like when you're driving down the street on McMicken. Also some other pics of where LEO hangs out.

You'll see a view looking down westward toward the church parking lot with the yellow arrow pointing to where LEo parks.
Then a shot going the other direction from the rainbow corner with a view from the rear view mirror showing the parking lot. LEO has a clear view all the way to the corner. They can see all cars and people at Vine and Findlay corner.
Also at the Imperial building corner is another spot LEO will park at the far west end of McMicken and Mohawk Street. There has been a lot of activity at that corner but the SW's hanging out there are not worth the stop lately.
Then at the east end of McMicken street I see LEO park there near the Corner store.

Nice pix Harpo. I too was in OTR over the weekend, and took the attached picture from the back of the church parking lot showing the view all the way to the hottest intersection in the city: Vine, McM and Findlay.
I spoke with R****l this weekend (she is back! Seems healthy, contrary to competing SW reports to the contrary last year). She said SWs are very aware of the LE surveillance from the parking lot. By the same token, I wonder why so many SWs STILL stroll in clear view on McM...
BTW, never before have I been SO careful to make the entire cruise loop to assess the LE surveillance situation before taking any action. A word to the wise.

I toured otr, lph, we, walnut hills, avondale, amd elsewhere, and it was pityful. I have be shocked before, but this was shocking. It was a very warm over the weekend, and the streets were empty. Huhh!
I saw a total of #4 decent SW's in the area, and in my total search there was only #10-12 decent ones I saw over all the cruising. I did cruise over a #12 hour period over the weekend fri-sun. Man the cops have really done a number on the SW supply. Pityful!
I give a call to one of the regulars, and I told her I wanted to get together. She offered a threesome, and we all got together for $30 each. I supplied the drinks and food, and we partied sat. Night till late. It cost me a total of $60 for the girls and $25 for the drinks and food. We did a notel private room in clifton, where the third girl lived. It cost 15 for over 4 hours. Oh, I did get my favorite a $5 phone card, so add that. Of course I bring my own condoms.
The girls told me they have basically stopped working the streets, till the real warm weather comes back. Then people will be walking the streets and they can blend in again. Completely agree. A friend of mine was out Monday through OTR/LPH and he told me exactly the same thing - zip, nada, zilch. Of course, he didn't have the resources that you can muster up from your stash of numbers. When I told him about your story, all he could say was "darn, I wanna grow up and be like Word". Me - I'm not that picky - I just wanna grow up !!! :-)

MY friend says that he saw at least four candidates last Sat, including a newbie and cutie, B**h. R****l was out in full force, waving her arms, and driving a car!!! But even tho she appears healthy, the word on the street is that she is at least HIV positive. My friend says she used to be a real winner, and still has spunk, but he is leary of having contact with her.
And mature K** is back (again). He says she is a sweetheart--always nice healthy hair, very congenial, eager to please.

During the parade last weekend I saw our finest LE men giving some nice folks a hard time. A group of people were trying to give free food to people at Fountain Square. LE chased them off the Square. See the pics below. A picture is worth a thousand words. The whole incident was like watching LE this past summer chase all the folks in OTR.
I've included some more pics of what I was seeing while just cruising around the usual areas. You're right! there are no SW's or very many people in the pics. It's very quite in OTR. I had seen lots of city LE.
And speaking about St. Patrick's Day parade, Old Simon Leis sure likes to make his presence felt in this city. At first the Patty's Day parade was nice but then Simon's had all his trucks, tanks, boats and every vehicle from the department lined up in the parade. Simon just spoiled the occasion for me. It reminded me how the old USSR had military parades showing all the nukes and solders marching in the old Moscow Red Square. To me it's very 'George Orwellian' if you know what I mean guys.
I've included a pic of the inflated Simon. I saw that and said, "Just like his ego". Enjoy the pics guys.
Lastly, I had found some decent SW's but not in OTR or the other usual areas. Got a decent BBBJ from one newbies out there. Where? can't really say and I believe what 'WordUp' had said in his last post:

Warm weather cruising. It made no difference, I saw nada. I wish nada was a decent SW, because I see her all the time. Everywhere I look I see nada. Nada is starting to get on my nerves because she is everywhere.
I wish she would go someplace and stay, and never come out again. Every corner there standing is nada, and she runs off all the other SW's around, and the ones that are around, she makes uglier just by being around her.
I managed to catch #3 decent SW's over by lower clifton, but I knew they lived over that way, so I had to cruise a good while before I stumbled upon them. They hang together, and a threesome was in the cards. But getting that hair done, came first so we were back at a twosome.
I also checked the locations of some SW's in three corners area, and w. H. , avond. And the different projects. I only came across three more, with only one in service. The other two, it was the time of the month. Of course they never have minutes, so no standard digits. It takes so much wait and see time, to catch up to them, that I really felt like giving up. Good thing it was warm outside, and I was tried of being in the house over all the snow.
Still, the price was the same. I paid #30 for fs, and I got about an hour to 90 minutes of service. Again I bought some beer & coolers, and some wants a pack of cigs, and once I got them comfortable, they just wanted to screw, laugh, drink, eat, and screw again.
I learned this formula from a senior member. It has yet to fail!
I am thinking about a road trip to indy or dayton to see if anything is worthwhile, even though the post are not saying so. Once the weather turns to 70 degrees everyday, I will take the trips around the oki area.
I think nashville and louisville worth the road trip!
I just want to ask, and this is for Street Action Only. Have You Ever Found Anyone Trickin On Our Cincy Streets Other Than "WSW & BSW" SW's.
I ask this because I have only during the Better days of SW's hunting a few real Latino Girls from S. America, but were American raised.

And a lot of them are Well Dressed, Well Spoken, and Not on Hard Drugs. They smoke weed and drink, but No Heavy Drugs. And they Rarely have anything close to a Pimp.
I do know a lot of Young BiRacial chicks are starting to Clean Up on business and make a name for themselves, but they usually have "Sugar Daddy's" taking kind care of them, and do some extra work on the side strictly for the extra pocket/shopping cash.
LE, will almost NEVER catch them, for they never have to advertise, for a client or Sugar Daddy to show up. They have a "Waiting List" of everything from Dupe Boyz to Old Men, and all in between.
So, I know Foreign women would do very well here in this City.
But still the question is. Have you ever seen anything on our streets other than W/B SW's. I think there are a few Latina, but I have NOT even seen any Mexican women trickin. I have heard a few rumors, but I have yet to see for myself.
Just Go to DC, they have every kind of Nationality Walking the Streets there.

Your subject line suggests that we have not had many posts recently from Cincy. I wonder whether we REALLY need two forums. We got "General Reports" and "Street Walkers." I do not automatically check both boards. My suggestion is to make our posts on the "General Report" board until it gets so overloaded that we can't keep up, and then maybe post to the SW board.

HERE is the Deal, I had oicked her up before and she always want $50-60 for FS or she will walk on you. She is a very pretty young, light skin petite cutie, and always dresses very well, with heels and hot pant, often.
