Ure 60 - 70 plus room for 30 minutes. I can almost always get 100 for a full hour. Greek is available with some but not too many for extra 30 - 40 room is now 11 dollars. You will get a better rate esp from street girls if you go w mexican currency. Been going down for over 20 years.

Do a google search and see the live rate to get an idea. Right now it's like 1 dollar is like 18.50 or 1 peso is. 53 something like that.

I have a Schwab card, they do not have a bank so you can use any ATM (National banks preferred: Bannamex, Banorte, HSBC, etc) there and they reimburse you at the end of the month for any fees. That and no foreign fees plus they are right on the exchange rate.

It's best to have both, some girls charge $60 but for pesos they would say 1300/1200/1100 pesos which at 1100 you are getting a bit of a deal but at 1200 they get a little more. It depends, trial and error. My first chica cheated me some hundred pesos, she was good looking but once the clothes came off, not as good since her surgery marks weren't that well healed. If you cross the border in cars, Mexican Immigration does not ask for passport, visa app or stamping passports. They stopped and inspected my car but only asked for car registration to check against the VIN # on the dashboard because many Mexicans drive stolen cars or cars with expired US registration so they don't pay Mexico's tax. A few times Policias have checked my driver license and car registration, but they have never asked to see passport.

Your expired passport is still proof of citizenship and CBP has to let you come back to US, but they may hassle you a little. You should renew your passport ASAP.

I have been going to Tijuana for 18 years, rolling in beds with lots of girls, never had anything stolen from me, but you should always be careful. I have a passport card in my wallet, good enough for driving into Mexico since they don't stamp passport if you cross in cars. The big paper passport is for travel to countries that will stamp passports.

Sure you can wing it and go through that whole troubling process of coming back but why go through all those unnecessary steps. It's almost a requirement to cross due to Mexican immigration checking passports, I think you can pay them off to cross if you don't have the passport but it's just a hassle. I have a passport card and it's pretty much in and out, easy come, easy go, so get that passport, makes life so much easier.

You should also get a Global Entry card. It makes crossing border and reentry through airports quick and painless. It costs $100 for 5 years, will save a lot of time at border and airports. Apply to have 2 or 3 cars registered with your Global Entry card for free. It makes life so good crossing border into Tijuana fast to spend time with pretty chicas hehe.

My only advice is to throw yourself in the flames and just try to speak Spanish to locals. My Spanish has gone from pocho to where you from (my accent is a giveaway). The process is challenge but people in Mexico are nice and they respect that you try to speak their language. I'm not sure about the courses though, I tried to sign up at a JC but the time schedules conflict with my work schedule.
