Korean Bar Reports

Well since its obon season I might be going to bon dances on Friday or Saturday or even going both nights to bon dances they get some good food and other stuff. That still won't necessarily keep me out of the bars and it matters who I meet at the bon dances if I head home or if I feel the urge to get a drink or more then I'll head out. Friday was a bit different though then again this whole week I've been going out a lot. Friday started the night off at Cafe Gangnam around 10 ish where I took a lot of shots and finishing 3 bottles of mixed soju with friends in the 2 hours we stayed there. At Cafe Gangnam there were way more guys then females but the females there were all dressed up and if you wanted to get them a drink it didn't cost $20. After that we headed to the Kapiolani area but didn't really see much at the KBs so went to hangout at Republik for a bit to drink more. After Republik closed we headed over to EG which had its usual Friday night crowd. Had one BG that text me and I told her if she can find before I leave I'll get her a shot by the time she found me I was ready to go she was saying she kept on leaving her table to try find me. She wasn't to happy so to try and make me stay longer bought me a shot which I drank and left without getting her a drink. I also met a Japanese bg that used to work at Auon's but didn't want to tell me which bar she works at now but somehow she got my number which I don't remember giving it to her. After EG we went to eat a sikdorak which made me more sick then alcohol hehe I had meat overload. It was a fun night overall. Took it easy Saturday hanging out with friends. After a day of recovery I'll most likely be out tonight.

I hardly been drinking lately because I have been traveling extensively for work and I have a new live in girlfriend who makes my bar life virtually non existent at times. The only ties I still have with the bar are the girls themselves, who are still all very good friends with my ex. In typical KBG fashion though, they are all in touch with me simply because I am usually the guy they call when they seek legal advice or consultation. You know they are only going to stay in touch because they NEED something. My ex and I have helped hundreds of KBG's with legal advice in the past and I guess even though we are no longer together my cell number is still on the phones of many a KBG. Like the old saying goes, if only I had a nickel for everytime.

I actually got a funny story for you bro. One night a couple of weeks ago I was at Camelot, just for about 10 minutes to have a drink on my way home. A couple of girls had approached me wondering if I specialized in immigration law. I told them no but I do have a handful of friends who are willing to take on new cases. After chatting with them for about 10 minutes, one girl then asks me, "Oppa, do you know who Oldee is?" I played dumb and asked her, who that was and she said she was told Oldee would be there that night and she wanted to put a face behind the legendary name. That's too funny, still never bought them drinks. I may give advice for free but they got to earn my money. LOL.

Although breaking it off is easier said than done. Be strong in your decision. I've seen more than one brother say one thing when sober but as soon as he gets a few beers under his belt a little later in the evening his "junior" brain takes over and he runs back throwing money at the problem. AND the beauty of the overall situation is that there really are a lot more fish out there.
