Do not run from the police. Running from the police give the police probable cause and they will go on a fishing trip trying to find out what crimes you could have possibly committed.

Keep your car locked when you are stopped next to or near your car. Never consent to a search of your vehicle when an officer asks to search your car. State clearly,"Officer, I know you are doing your job but I don't consent to searches."

Always be polite when dealing with the police. Throw in as many,"Yes sirs","No Sirs","Thank you" as possible.
