You being absent to go to court can raise concerns to employers and result in their finding out about the arrest. If you're on probation, court will notify your employer. They don't protect you from Uncle Sam. Each app downloaded to a phone takes the phone's identification number. So even if you use get rid of the app they can still find from which phone it was used.

The story said the 17 year old paid the guy to drive her places, not that he was forcing her to do anything--though it's pretty slimy to agree to do that for someone so young and I think should be against the law, it's not human trafficking. There was nothing in the story to indicate that the other ladies mentioned were actually victims of human trafficking--the way the story was written it appears they were just doing business on their own. Though it might just be a poorly written story.
