I respect the right of the citizens to get rid of crime and pandering. But there is a need for a special red light district for strip clubs, streetwalkers, massage parlors etc. These businesses existed forever and people cannot get rid of them because there is a social need for them. The Amsterdam and Germany models are quite good. In Thailand, they group them in entertainment zones. There is a better control of health, crime, and social issues. There will be less sex oriented crimes (including rapes, .) with those social models.

They have to have suspicious of a crime (either you did or were about to do something) to even DETAIN you. So always Invoke your right to not answer any question, invoke your 1st by telling him to finger himself, and not be such a worthless pansy.

Most cities have very broadly written laws concerning loitering to engage in drug activity or mongering. Passing the same area in a certain amount or time. Patterns of driving signaling individuals, history of the area. Cops label all areas high drug areas because the streets are flowing in drugs (quick trip Wal-Mart parking lot).

All arrests concerning the sex industry are not intended to stop the activity, the point is #1 to move it to another location. If they are serious about cleaning up the area there will be several more stings in the next few weeks, and then one every few months to show the local police department is serious. Monger arrests are to embarrass the monger splash his photo all over the local news and the Departments facebook page. The news laps it up, it is a sensational story, in order to make a arrest the officer needs probable cause, more likely then not the crime in question occured. Stings like these are not about convictions they are about arrests. The 16 who got arrested made the news, have car impound fees and a court date. It was not included in the story but I refuse to believe that out of the 16 arrested there wasn't a few with suspended driver's license. No weed? No coke? No one was driving drunk or high enough to classified as impaired. Charges of a sexual nature the suspect is usually to embarrassed to fight charges. They will just pay fine and move along. Or the District Attorney will offer a general disorderly charge at a reduced fine and a guilty plea! Everyone wins. A lot of dudes would rather have a disorderly charge then a soliciting charge. Either way the po lice won. Dudes are scared to hit that area looking for retail poon, because of the news reports. If they don't maintain the pressure it will be back to normal in 3 months because the mongers and girls have short memories.

They can do all I said and hold you for up to 48 hrs before dropping charges and telling you you're free to go. Sure, you can sue, seek truth, justice and the American way. An attorney would tell you you have a great case and ask for $20k up front, maybe more.

It was back in 1990, 91 under George HW Bush when the laws re probable cause were changed. An anonymous phone call, an anonymous tip gives police probable cause. "You match the description of the guy some girl said propositioned her for sex. Step out of the vehicle."

I know a girl who got busted after the UC paid her and fucked her. He told the judge he didn't. Who you think judge believed?

Cops probably assessed who to arrest on a night like that. They made sure you one of the "bad guys" in their mind who will bend over backwards for police authority. As unfortunate as that is, if they pull you over for no reason and then find a reason to arrest you, then you are charged for that. If they don't have shit on you, it's unlikely they will show up to court themselves so if you just pay the fine you took the loss.

Yes the criminal system is broken and backwards. And cops are useless pigs for runaways. Don't be scared to stfu and tell the judge you not guilty (which means you ain't paying shit).

Maybe it is because atlanta is such a international city but a significant amount of the names on the arrest blotter seem to be middle eastern or south of texas, while not all a vast majority. Not too many smiths rogers jones. Or. J. G. Wentworth the III. NO " trips" or fleets on the list. Are they not mongering? Or just are more casual?
