Well, the SW scene during daylight hours is not completely dead. I was going by 11th and P streets when I got a look from a waif-y younger white girl. I circled around and she hopped in. Something new, but shoulda stayed home.
I was dying to see Mimi at Downtown, so I headed over in the mid afternoon. I called to ask if she was available. I was told yes. Parking was a challenge, and I climbed those stairs again. I don't know what it was about today, maybe the warmer weather, but the stairs really grossed me out today. Bad odor, too.
As I get close to the top, I hear the doorbell, so there was someone there ahead of me. He asked for Jackie, but she wasn't available, but in he went. I was next and asked about Mimi. I then thought I'd try CPHC, as I had never been there and it was on my way to my next destination. I found it with little difficulty. That's a nice neighborhood. I rung the bell and Mamasan said that everyone was busy, but it would be about 10-15 minutes before someone was available. At this point, I was figuring that I should have waited that 20 minutes for Mimi.

This post is from a long-time lurker who finally, FINALLY struck out on his own to see what Da Game was all about. Thanks to the many previous posts – notably from Mighty Spearsman and Trash Man – I could at least pretend to know what I was doing when I visited Downtown – my very first time in an AMP – January 1. What a great way to say hello to a new year!
First, thanks for the warnings. Climbing those dreary stairs to the top of Mt. Olympus was a little disconcerting.
