First of all, I have no idea what the motivation of the girl is for hanging out with a non-paying customer. Having known many of them on a personal level, I could speculate. I do know that for some there certainly is a social aspect to working in the club. But that doesn't explain the ones who sit alone fiddling on their phones (which they could just as well do at home or anywhere else) while ignoring potential cash-paying customers.

Frankly, if I were them and had to be stuck working in a club, my focus would be on making bank then getting the help out of there But that is me and apparently many of these girls don't have my business focus. I suppose some of the other scenarios Jay mentioned could also be at work thus explaining it, but WHATEVER it is is completely beside the point.

AND it is the DANCER who should have the motivation to go where the money is, AGAIN NOT the guy whose motivation to continue to hang out with the dancer, PARTICULARLY if it's not costing him anything is completely understandable.[/B]

But Booty is also making a lot of unreasonable assumptions. Nowhere did the OP say anything about the other guy "lording over" the girl or "drapping his arm around her" in a way that would prevent her from simply standing up and walking away or deluding himself into thinking that the girl is anything other than what she is - a girl who has drinks and sometimes does other things with guys for money. But EVEN if he was, that still wouldn't really prevent the girl from making her excuses and leaving him for a potentially more lucrative prospect if she chose to do so.

Are there some guys who think they can pick up these girls with just their charm and without spending any money? Sure. Are there also some who press themselves too much on the girls? Sure as well. But do you really think these girls don't know how to blow off such guys if they really wanted to? What about guys who lead the girls on to falsely believe that there will be some money forthcoming at the end? Again, sure it happens but most of these girls aren't shy about pressing the guy to spend, if that's what they really want OR to fairly quickly figure out if he's just talk. AND if he's a regular customer and regularly just bullshits rather than spends, they know that too and whether it's worth it for them to spend their time with them or not (regulars who never spend quickly make a name for themselves).

More often than not the "non-spending" situation involves a regular who hangs out at the bar all the time (ie a guy she already knows) and they're hanging out together more out of boredom than anything else AND because it's easier for her to sit and talk with a guy she knows and feels comfortable with than to walk up to a complete stranger and proposition him.

But if you think that's easy (and you think the guy has just been wasting her time), instead of stewing in jealousy or resentment, why don't you just go up to her and say something like "Excuse me but when you and this gentleman are done with whatever it is you're doing, would you come join me at my table or better yet for VIP". Believe me, if she's at all interested she'll press him to either shit or get off the pot or, if they were just hanging will pardon herself to go with you for a bit and return to him later. Or, if you're hesitant to interrupt their conversation, you can catch her and make your pitch when she steps away to go the restroom or goes on stage. Or, if even that scares you too much, you can ask a waitress or other dancer to go let her know you're interested.

I know a couple of girls who basically set up their whole day that way and only pick up a stray if they hit a dead spot.

I was just offering reasons dancers may choose to stay with a non-paying customer, and those were all told to me by dancers I've had close relationships over the years.

If they were at a private table together just the two of them? The waiting guy can kick rocks. If that is me with her? I am for SURE tipping every so often to compensate for her time as it is pay for play. And that is the whole point of being there. I get the chilling with a regular out of boredom thing, as long as it comes with an awareness of what she is ACTUALLY THERE FOR and being mindful of the room. That part is on her. But again, you are acting as if they were just sitting next to each other talking vs what I copy and pasted which is completely different and inappropriate for this pay for play environment. And another thing I will cop to is this, the whole thing gets muddied because of the law. The whole "it's for my time and what happens between two adults" blah blah blah is CYA for legality sake. So therefor the true pay for play vibe doesn't get to happen openly and honestly, so you get this BS.

In conclusion, no he was NOT just a regular she was sitting next to BS-ing to kill time. The quote from the OP proves it. No I am NOT saying it is all on the guy. Only when like with this dummy, the guy is trying to pick her up for free like a regular bar situation vs the obvious pay to play environment they were actually in. Given that this is pay for play and a commercial establishment, if a server, for instance, was blowing off taking tables, it would not be on that guy to go to her as her being available is the implied AND EXPECTED norm. He should've gone to the manager like you would any other service industry situation. Again, your "don't stew in jealousy and resentment, just go make a move or tap her on the shoulder" comment proves my point. There is nothing to be jealous or resentful about about as she is not your girlfriend or a potential one (in the non-commercial / non-transactional sense). He shouldn't have to do anything like that. And I don't care what her motivation is. She's there for a specific purpose. They both were out of line and ruining and otherwise simple and wonderful thing.

My commentary isn't about you personally either or the other guy who responded. It is about the blurred lines this PUA crap coming into the mix like it is a regular situation vs pay to play is what I am frustrated with. No need to complicate it. We all know why we are there.

ANYHOW. As usual I was out and about recently. I live about an hour north of Pops, so going to any clubs requires at least a two-hour investment. My past journeys to Allure and the Brass proved too often to be a waste of time as there were no dancers at either. In an effort to conserve fuel I decided to concentrate on Pops and Vue. Pops has been hit or miss with the talent and I find the new Saturday DJ annoying as hell. Plus you never know when the Beast is going to start her shit, so I've just been hitting the Vue. Even if theyre slow Ellie is there every Saturday and I enjoy her. Usually however, there is a nice mix of girls there by 1 PM. I have some stories to share, I'm leaving out some names. Couple weeks ago I was drinking a beer with Ellie when a dancer who used to be at the Brass appeared. She is fit as hell and probably the best pole dancer in there however she is a "butterface". There are some Cubans but the majority are black or white in all different variations. Rates vary but at NONE of these clubs would you spend that kind of money for CBJ. Hell, I've gotten FS for $. 2 including house fee.

A word of caution, however. ALL of these clubs are best avoided after 1800 hours.

Bare Assests & Red Room are the two best right now, IMO. Take the drive, save the cash. Once you go back, you can negotiate with most of them, for under 1. I've had ladies ask for 200+ for FS, when I said no, they immediately dropped the asking price in half. Under no circumstance would I drop that much on top of house fees. That's my take, if you feel like spending that much, good on you.

The Red Room seems like the new place for adult entertainment in Pasco. The atmosphere is pleasant and the place is clean, not at all shabby. BA doesn't get too rough at night. It's a similar crowd (and price) to any of the nicer Tampa clubs. But going north is a questionable decision later on.
