Is it worth it? Guess it depends on how often you plan to travel or how often you meet providers who require it. While I feel that I did get my money's worth out of it, I can say that I don't use it nearly as much as when I first got it, mainly due to lack of funds and lack of desire to drive to Chicago that often.
