While walking along Market (around the 2100 block, I think) I came a across an adult establishment that offered a bigger variety than most. Generally adult bookstores seem to draw the gay crowd only, but this one offered "girls, girls, girls" on the second floor, so I thought I would check it out. $5. 00 to get you in and it's a small room with a typical raised dance floor and pole. A girl came out (very thin, attractive, black) and did a little dance. And offered more in a Private room. I said I would have to think about it (she was not my type, plus, I had not been expecting to need extra funds, so I came with meager cash). As I started to leave, I was encouraged by the door man to walk down the row of booths and talk to the girls. "talking is free" he said. So, I did just that. A huge breasted latino caught my eye and beckoned me into her booth. She told me to sit and gave a very animated sales pitch about what I should expect from her. She was pretty in the face, with animated eyes and a nice smile. She was very convincing. I told her I would have to get cash and come back. But I did not. Once the fresh air hit me, my big brain took over and I continuted my evening stroll.

Anyone have any experience there?

Other then the mention of some traffic light cameras on the Blvd, I don't remember any advance notice on these spy in the skys. Beside these, I seen them on Broad St, near Erie Ave. They have a bright blue light on top and at night they are visable for miles.

They remind me of the cameras in that old movie. Not 1984, but the other one with the firemen.

I would not be surprized if they don't have less comspicuous models already planted about the city.

But it's about 50-50 for the girls who perform and the ones that just want to scam you. And they are going to hit you up for some serious cash as well.

There was also another by the reading terminal (Doc Watsons) that was alot of fun as well. We used to leave the office at lunch and get a quicky. Also was a bar at 11th and race that had a bunch of old ****** that would blow you in the bathroom. Then you could come back to the bar, have a beer and a free meatball sandwich, then go back to the office..Hmmmm..those were the days.

It's like the last holdover from the days many, many moons ago when Market Street was simply awash in 'adult theatres". I honestly didn't know there were any places left in the area that offered the basic 'floor and pole" sort of thing anymore -- the kind of joint that you go into with a handful of singles, which is just perfect for a cheap bastard like me... :)

Not long ago I visited Nazi Germany - excuse me, I mean Baltimore, and could not believe the situation that exists there now. The large number of Blue Light Special super cameras and the banks of floodlights along the sides of streets make quite a sight. No one can argue with a community taking steps to protect its citizens and cut down on crime. But the Baltimore project is so way, way over-the-top, invasive, and desperate, that I'm sure Nazi's-at-heart must be running the operation. I urge Philly mongers to check out the news link Benchseats just provided for a glimpse at the oppressive scene that could be headed our way.

I don't think the cameras are currently being used to monitor mongers, but who knows what the future will being. After they find out that they are useless against real crime, they will turn them against the lesser evils. The real crooks are going to stay out of site, duck, wear a disguise, move to another location, run faster, get better lawyers or just smile for the camera. Do they really believe that drug addicts are going to quit because they make be getting they picture taking. Do they really think that some dude making $1000 a day selling drugs is going to stop because he is worried about a badly focused snap shot?

Here in Philly the real problem is with the murder rate. The best a camera can do is get a shot of the killing. It can not stop it.

With all the money that they spent on the dumb ass cameras they are going to have to justify them somehow.

Wow - a new Streetwalker Photos Thread, how cool. Thanks for the early Christmas present Jackson. Well, I guess Ed and all the little Eddies were right after all, Philly needed another thread. That means I was wrong and I caused this board a lot of unnecessary grief. I am truly sorry for that. I just wanted to post a few pictures and have a little fun. I thought the trouble was being caused by a few bad apples, as it turns out, I am the bad apple.

Kensington Ave is a fascinating scroll. The girls, the activities surrounding them and even the LE bring a certain excitement to mongering. It is a great place for ***** chasing. And I was really starting to get the feel for the place. I was getting to see a different side of some of the girls. I was starting to get the feeling that the girls knew I was coming and were looking forward to their turn in front of the camera. Besides for the money, which they all wanted, it was better then sucking dick. One girl went out of her way to show me pictures of her self when she was a dancer, before the drugs took over her life. Another showed me nudes of herself, taken when she was a young stripper. Some of their stories were believable; others were out and out lies. But, except for the few bad one, they all gave a reasonable account of themselves. They seemed to open up in front of the camera. For some reason taking pictures made the whole thing seem more normal and less of a dirty deed. Sure, in the end it was about money and a nut, but there is not harm in fantasies.

I am going to do something now I should have done months ago. I am putting down my trusty Cannon and giving it a rest. Retirement can not be all that bad, beside according to a recent post I could be saving myself two or three thousand a week.

I'm a newb here and I'm still getting the hang of everything. I visited CH2 a couple months before it closed and I've visited hotels, but I'm intrigued to try more SWs since it seems the values triple if someone's on the internet. If I could hobby a little more often with my allowance, that would be great.

Anyhow, I was nervous enough going to AMPS and hotels, but the SW scene is totally new to me. I know that the K is the place to hit, but I feel like I'd stick out there, and I'm usually not free to drive around in daylight. I'm not afraid of the area per se, but I'm apprehensive to get stopped driving around there alone at night as I have no other reason to be there and I wouldn't really know what to say if I were stopped.

I have tried my luck around S. Philly after dropping friends off there and have had mixed results (which I'll post in a bit) Whether this is a good tactic or no, I just feel slightly safer checking out less "hot" areas (or at least areas that I'm somewhat familiar with) as it sounds like the K can be crawling with LE at times.

Anyhow, this thread is a monster and I have perused it, but there's a lot to sift through and I'm still working on it. I like to think I've picked up some of the basics, but if there's a definitive "SW101" "how to not attract unwanted attention" thread, or a "things to say if you're stopped" thread that anyone could point me towards, that would be great.

Apologies if I'm overstepping any bounds or asking questions that have already been answered ad nauseum. I'd just like to be prepared before going out and needlessly getting myself into deep shit.

You have provided very valuable information on the mongering scene in Philly. Your reports and pictures most definitely meets with Jackson's purpose of this Forum (which is to provide for the exchange of information between Men on the subject of finding Women for Sex).

It's helpful to have a picture of the girl to place with her name. These girls change their street names like most of us change our socks, and of course, there are several girls who use the same name.

A brief narrative description of the girl which most of us provide leads to more confusion than it helps. Your pictures clarify exactly who you are talking about.

Don't let those few distracters who contribute absolutely nothing, deter you from posting your reports and pictures in the General thread.
