Has anyone else had issues with their GMail? My email was normal up to about 3 days ago. Now all my photos are blank black screens, to include pictures I have all ready seen, downloaded, etc. And all my emails look like they are written in a funky mix of Japanese, Korean, Sanscript, and 4 year old finger paintings. I am so frustrated right now. I just want to set up a meeting with a few of my regular Dream Technicians and every response I get back is garbage. And to top it off, if they had sent a phone number, those emails are trash as well. FML! I am dying here. Had to get a new burn number and email and am now having to start from scratch. I have read many comments and reviews on here, but yours is by far the most impressive. The amount of thought and definiteness of purpose put into the "experiment" alone is quite impressive. And then getting it from head to paper with all the key points and reasoning behind everything, along with the lack of grammatical errors is impressive as well. It is not often you see someone able to write as well, and as on point as you did. My compliments to the writer.

One of my vices is reading. I not only read the TN forum, but also read Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and Georgia on a regular basis. With that I have yet to find contributors who come close to these two gentlemen. Milfman and Bandit Rex provide great reading, knowledgeable insight, and some plain old common sense. Something that seems to be in such short supply these days.

If SA Support determines that you have falsely reported an account (as in they don't agree with what you have said after their investigation completes), they'll look at your history of reporting profiles and may suspend your account instead.

This is "Bandit SA Part 2" (of at least 2). And, as a reminder, before you read this post of mine, if you haven't already, read MilfMan's post immediately below (#1399).

So, picking up where I left off in Part 1, when it comes to SA, What is your game? What is your strategy? Because if you don't know, you don't have one. And kids, pay attention, SA can be one hell of a distracting candy-store! So, a simple game-plan will help you from being distracted by the candy that isn't worth your while and allow you to focus on the really "good stuff".

MilfMan summarized a brilliantly simple 7-step-game-plan just a short time ago; so, if you don't have a game plan of your own, let me suggest you use his, it works very well:

1-Go to SA.

2-Buy a one-month subscription.

3-Send out messages to as many as possible with your off-SA contact info.

4-Upon response take the conversation off-line immediately! Immediately!

5-From there vet & engage and engage & vet.

6-Then reap the benefits of those contacts for months to come.

7-Take Note: Even if you are a gentleman, an artist or a gunslinger at heart, it doesn't matter; you must apply a little critical-thinking & deductive-reasoning to your pursuits; if you do, you will find yourself eating the very best that the finest banquet tables have to offer and doing so for less money; just like MilfMan & EasttnnFun & OldGeezer (but probably not that idiot Bandit Rex, he's probably just making everything up; plus, I hear he tips too much, sucker!

MilfMan is correct in his assertions at the bottom of his post (#1399), there are a cadre of us that (whether through SA, UTRs, Advertisers or all 3 combined) routinely eat the very best that the finest banquet tables have to offer and we do it for less money than what everyone spends on gas station hot dogs. Additionally, 3 or 4 of us are constantly tying to help everyone else discover & enjoy for themselves what we have discovered & enjoy. When MilfMan says "RTFF", what he really means is "I can't help you with your questions if you ignore the instructions I give in you in my answers".

Okay, back to SA, one final, very-important FYI: I need to add four additional steps, which are not necessary for everyone, but are very important if you, as a result of your job, your involvement in charities or your involvement in other community organizations, have a civic profile of any height whatsoever:

8-Never use your USASG handle as your SA handle.

9-Change your SA handle every so often.

10-Take a brand-new selfie for any & all pix you post on SA. And make the pix a little "shaky" (or otherwise obscured).

11-Once you have moved a passel of communication off-SA, shut down that membership; and when you re-start SA, whether it is three weeks or three months later, use a new SA handle and use a new batch of slightly-obscured selfie-pix.

Why so cautious? Photo recognition software! It just keeps getting better & better and 'ol Bandit learned this the hard way my very first go 'round with a site somewhat similar to SA (about two years ago). I posted a new selfie picture of myself, not a pre-existing picture, but I didn't obscure it enough and one of those Russian gangster robots (disguised as a beautiful girl from the Philippines) "guessed" my "real life" identity within 72 hours, simply as a result there being a handful of pictures of me on the internet (because of my job and my community involvement); how many pictures of me in my "real life" were / are on the internet, tons? No, only a dozen or so, not 50 or 100. So, photo-recognition-software-algorithm-robots are capable of some measure of fuzzy-logic. But, no need to be afraid or be distracted, just adjust your strategy. And remember the wisdom of the great poet-scholar Shaggy: "It wasn't me. " (Shaggy the rapper, not Scooby-Doo's friend).

So, regardless of whether it is the 7-step plan, the 11-step plan or a plan of your own-making, just have a game-plan and focus on it! In your hunting you can be a gentleman, an artist, a gunslinger or a technician, but eye on the prize, not the scammers. Haters going to hate, scammers going to scam.

Here's to a 2020 characterized by routinely eating the very best that the finest banquet tables have to offer and, for those of you who don't tip too much (like me), doing so for less money.

But, first, before you read my two posts, if you haven't already, read MilfMan's post immediately below (#1399). My two posts are just footnotes to his (I'm kind of like John Cougar Mellencamp; not too bad, not too bad at all; but, ultimately, just a footnote to Bruce Springsteen. MilfMan is obviously The Boss in this analogy).

Okay, let me start with a joke: Q "Why don't southern women participate in large, swinging, group-sex?" A "Too many thank you notes!" And with that I will begin my discussion of SA.

That joke makes a point that probably informs the way a lot of us approach life: with a desire to be both pleasant and kind-hearted towards others (whether we are men or women, southern or pagan, that's another joke, don't PM me). So, I know, first hand, that buried within many hobbyists, who may just now be experimenting with SA for the first time, there is a real urge to respond to all of the ladies on SA who (if they are from Knoxville and appear to be "your type") have initiated contact with you. From there it becomes all too easy to get offended & distracted by all of the scamming going on.

But, before I continue, take note, if you feel the need to respond to "ladies" from other states (or the Philippines), I can't help you, no one can.

Okay, back to my point, it is easy to get distracted by all of the SA scamming. Why did MilfMan just say "here's a short, sweet, to-the-point alternative method: just ignore the SA scammers"? Because he knows how very easy it is to get distracted by all of the scamming going on, especially when you were just trying to be a polite "gamer" by responding to a "Knoxville girl" who appeared to be your type; but who, in all actuality, was nothing more than a scam. Maybe she is a Knoxville girl running a scam or maybe it is a Russian gangster's robot running a scam, who knows, and it does not matter; the point is, like MilfMan said, ignore it and focus on your own game.

"But Bandit", you may ask, "how do I know it's a scam?" Well, to MilfMasn's point, if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck and quacks like a duck; it is an F-ing duck. So, if she asks for any money up front, if she ever ghosts you or otherwise wastes one iota of your time; then, no matter what the picture looks like, stop drinking the Kool-aide, it is a scam, ignore it, move on and focus on your own game.

Did Bill Walsh worry about what Chuck Noll was doing over in Pittsburgh? Or vice versa? No, they focused on their own game! (Okay, I just really dated myself there.).

In Part 2 I'll make a few points about the million-dollar question that you should now be asking yourself: What is my own game? FYI: If you don't know, you don't have a game.

It would appear that the new version of the usasg classifieds (theclassifieds. Nl) does not purge exif data from images.
This means that if you save an image from the site, and then view the metadata, there are details still present that are typically wiped during upload on forums and other social sites.
Sometimes type of data just includes the date the image was created, maybe the hostname of the device if a phone, occasionally things like data modified if ran through filters / edited / renamed / etc.

In some cases this includes the GPS coordinates the phone embeds when the picture was taken, which is an opsec liability for them and any of their visitors.
Sometimes people have the location setting off in their phone's camera app.
Sometimes the providers will download their pics from other sites (that do purge exif data) when creating a new ad.
In some cases, one is going to slip through with the location the image was taken.

This is something that needs to be addressed before too many pics slip through.
Disclosure: I am more or less out of the hobby, but would hate for someone to be tracked this way.

I see your point on reporting via the SA site and they probably don't care as they just want more members to increase revenue.

We are not in 100% agreement in ignoring the scammers. They are a royal pain in the ass and this USA site is very helpful in researching for scammers as well as gems. The scammers will never give us the product we seek so I do not feel they are welling meaning at all. When I run across the scammers and time-wasters I will report so on this forum.
