- go to WalMart, purchase the cheapest straightalk or verizon prepaid phone. (Verizon has one for $20). Pay in cash.

- purchase a card for minutes and pay cash.

- activate it and request an area code outside your own (using another zip code during activation).

- store ONLY your family's numbers in the directory so they think it's legit if found.

- clear all call history and texts.

This should help you be untraceable. And if you are still paranoid request a new number on it every couple of months. Or get 2 and switch phones.

And, ALWAYS TURN IT OFF before you get home. Also, clear the call history and clear all text messages. Take out the battery if you need to. Hide phone with your spare tire in the trunk. Put it in the first aid kit. You can say it's for emergencies if somebody else finds it.
