I've noticed cops kinda hanging out in weird scenarios and they stick out if you're paying attention to little giveaways. They always seem focused on something that is not normally something people focus on (things behind them, certain vehicles or buildings, etc.) Cops don't surveille things the same way normal people do. They are trained to do it a certain way that is totally obvious to the initiated and invisible to the uninitiated. They also have a "vibe" that is very difficult to explain. If you take a wider look at how they fit into the world around you, you see that they kind of don't fit. Kinda like a goose amongst a group of ducks. Next time you see a uniformed cop in public, take not of some of the mannerism, how they stand, look at people, and move.
