Going into the New Year, I thought it might be good for all of us to consider rates for 2023. I know we all have different likes and budgets, but there is consistent talk here about overpriced and GPS girls in Knoxville. That being said, would it not be good for the game if we gave our thoughts on reasonable rates for categories we play in? (ie; SA girls, stg, utr, etc.) Think of it as a recalibration led by the consumers. That is a powerful thought is it not?

Amusing part is that it was not necessarily the girls that jacked up the prices on their own-it was other guys. Mongers throwing around money trying to pretend they are two week billionaires or whatever has pretty much ruined most of the mongering destinations on earth. No great miracle that it has finally spread its way to Knoxville. One guy throws them an extra $40 for a tip or whatever and they start wanting it from everyone. Eventually, they just incorporate that into the "price".
Only way to win that game is by not playing.
Also remember, this board and all the others only make up about 20 % of the market. Even if you got everybody here on board, it's only a drip in the bucket.

My hope was to bring "some balance to the force. " If guys are honest about what they are investing in their area on the game, perhaps those who are thinking with there little head might see they are throwing some $ away. It really is to get a reference of a median investment into what area we each enjoy playing. I am particularly interested in what folks invest in a SB arrangement. But it would be helpful for all areas of mongering.

This is a rate guide that I collected informally by surveying providers who advertised there. The average half hour rate was 120 and full hour rate was 175 (the QV rate was not captured). The most common provider requests were 100 for half hour and 200 for full hour. It's a small trip down the rate memory lane.

What I am not doing is haggling and I am very experienced in haggling because I feel even if you work down the price they just reduce the offering. Better to move on to another offering and not create a sullen date or use a different location with more competition.
Maybe I have been doing it wrong? Maybe I am denying my value as a monger to play into the value equation and I have been denying providers with another signal that they are not the worth what they are posting. Or I need counter offer on the time, offering, ect. I'd like to hear how many of you haggle vs. How many move demand away to another provider or service type.
