Besides the food, there are times I like to take it easy on the bar (no get hassled as much) and talk story with friends. But no like go when get pushy bartenders too (just buy one for the bt and leave tip). I leave the booths open for lvb's or when time to play lvb.
I kinda play it by ear, get to meet & greet the hostesses and bartender(s), intro myself to them, swap names, kinda at least get to know them beyond just, "annyong" this way they tend to be a little less pushy if you're trying to mingle or talk to friends. Of course they like $ too, but playing nice usually works better I found. Also helps to learn some Korean and pronounce the right way.
