Short Stays
I want to start saving some $ on hotels. Does anyone have any suggestions for short stays or cheap hotels in the Southfield or Redford area?
It's getting ridiculous to spend $70 for a couple of hours with my girl (s) every week. I've been doing Choice hotels and using points to get a free room from time to time, but I'm thinking finding a decent short stay would be better for my wallet.
I know what you mean. The short stay places are good enough for a "short stay". (Note, the dollar amounts here are normal, not the stupid code some think is "cool").
EZ-Rest Motel. Telegraph, just south of 9-Mile (Southfield). 3 hours (anytime) $28 + $2 key deposit. I've been there many times. No problems.
(Forgot the name) on Grand River. Few blocks EAST of Telegraph (Detroit). Last July it was 3 hour $30 + $5 key deposit (don't know if it's only certain hours). Been there once. No problems.
Dorchester Motel. Grand River between Inkster and Beech Daly (Redford). I stopped in to ask, but never stayed there. They have a different set up, where you can stay "most" of the afternoon for a reasonable rate (don't remember the exact hours or the price).
Bahama Motel. Grand River just north of 8-Mile (Farmington Hills). Last July it was $40-45 I think.
Out of curiosity, I stopped at a few other nearby places and they were in the $40 - $50 range. None of the "chain" motels that I checked offered short stays.

Relatively clean, at least sheets and towels are. $ 45 for a short stay, 3 hours.

Budget crash pads
Look at the trailer parks in south Warren.
A lot of times trailers are free or very inexpensive. A couple of mongers could do a no-frills trailer remodel in 1 weekend. 10 gal. HW tank. A microwave is fine. Use spray adhesive and glue cheap carpet to the walls.
The place will need utilities but they don't have to be on all the time. A WiFi enabled space heater fixes that. Dial-up the heat from an app on the way over.
I did a little googling and found lot rent with the etc. Might be less than $400.00/ mo right off 8 Mile,. That's $50.00 a week.

Thank you. I always go to Garden Inn & Suites in Fraser. It is a nice place, but trying to find something on the west as well. I also remember a senior discussing about Hilltop Model in Redford and Fellows Creek Lodge in Canton, but haven't tried those places yet.

The neighbors have nothing to do except look out their window all day and they get nosy and figure out what you're doing. What I assume was an ex-street walker that lived on the street even approached me and asked if I wanted company when I was driving in.

Tree House
What about a treehouse?
If a tree house is what comes to mind for you. It's not a private residence like a trailer in South Warren.
Separately, I did find an Eastpointe condo right off the expressway. Ask is 44 K. The Googler says P&I is $210 with zero down. I don't know the HOA details.
The monger can pay hourly motels or use that money to build an equity position in an Eastpointe condo. Mongers need investments.
Most inner ring suburbs have condos for under 50 K.

Most inner ring suburbs have condos for under 50 K.
Somehow paying 50 K for a stationary condo for doesn't seem like a great strategy. So when the provider doesn't do outcalls, or isn't on the east side, how does this device work? If one isn't seeking providers that are in the 300+ price range, there are mobility issues for many of the lower-end providers. They generally don't own or can't afford transportation. The higher-end providers usually choose better hotels, and do incall.
Going to guess that there are better investment vehicles available to "mongers" than lower-end condos in areas with low appreciation rates.
How often are mongers using hourly motels? If the price of short-stay notels is an impediment, than the hobby is too expensive for the individual, not the room rate.

Or a tent
What about a treehouse?
If he's trying to save money, maybe a tent or sleeping bag might be better? Lumber prices ar still fairly high, and depending upon how luxurious he wants to make his tree house, it could be pricey.

You could see the hookers waving to eastbound 8 Mile traffic. Pull up any time of day, and almost instantly the ladies would open their doors and start waving you over. Detroit's own version of the Amsterdam windows. Truth told, lots of motels were like that back then. My favorite was the one in the Cass Corridor, before it was bulldozed, probably in the early 90's, or early. It was on Cass, or perhaps Clifford; I recall that the street split at that point. It was back in the mid- to late 80's, an old style, one floor motor inn. Met some very hot hookers back then, when they dressed the part. I keep scouring pages (like DetroitYes) trying to find a name or location, still no luck.
This hotel's (MNM) sister hotel is the old Heritage at 8 and Gratiot, also renovated by same owners. Got laid for first time at The Heritage my senior year. Rented some rooms to party and swim in the pool. Met this blonde who was going into the Air Force at the pool. She was partying with her friends, too. We kept switching rooms as our friends came and went. My room, her room, her bathtub, my car. To have the stamina of youth. Sigh.

I know this young lady that lives at Ford and Middlebelt that gives great head. White, thin, early 30's, average face, and average body. She's a really nice person and could use a little help. If you are comfortable sending me your number I'll pass it on to her, if not I understand. There are just too many number collectors (guys that ask for digits but never pull the trigger) out there to be PM-ing back and forth with.
So, do any of you buy flowers for your ATF on Valentine's Day? I have to admit, I have.
I moved this here because it applies to more then just strippers.
To all you guys that like to do something special for that special someone, try this. The next occasion that comes around, instead of buying her X amount of dollars worth of flowers, ask her if she would rather have the flowers or the cash. I will guarantee everyone of them will pick door number two (the cash).
Here is another test for the guys that think she thinks you're special. Tell her do to cut backs at work you had to take a drastic cut in pay. Then tell her you still want to see her but you can't afford to pay her anymore, see what she says to that. I bet she wont even offer you a discount until you get back on your feet.
My point is, we (everyone of us) are nothing more then a walking ATM's to these girls.
Safe Hunting.

Not a report, but
Where is the best and cheapest place to pick up a burner phone? Had been going to get one, but since Covid came around, I have backed off a lot of my activities and have been sticking to my regulars and haven't been too concerned about privacy. Now, I'm thinking about looking around at some new talent and think it would be a good idea to get an anonymous phone.
Thanks in advance for any advise.
